Our fitter put screws in so the tiled panel is removable. Can yours do the same? IMHO it looks waaaaay better :D

My bath fits the width of the bathroom (i.e. 1700) is on the back wall so as you walk in the bathroom you see it. For it to be waterproof it would needed to have been sealed and grouted to look good and the if he'd put in screw panel then you would see the screws and you can't really seal in the panel.

I am loving my bathroom tiles. They are shiny but have a non slip grip. I hate the soft close toilet seat as it takes too long to go down. Really don't see the point but OH wanted it.

More modern toilets have no dust collecting ridges on the outside so make cleaning easier as they are flat.

Glad you recomended Mira showers as that's what I bought.

Can't argue with you about 'sealing' but mine looks watertight however i am not a plumber. Anyway, we put these little plastic head things over the screws. We got black ones so it blends in. Job done! No ugly screws

Yes but you must use a 2 part flex

Something like Mapei Keraquick with a latex additive

Plywood must be a minimum of 12mm for cermaic and porcelain and 18mm for natural stones,6mm Hardiboard (cement board) would be another option if floor levels where too high

Like I said I don't know if it is plywood, I am not sure. Why is this a bad idea? what could we expect to happen with this? It has all been sealed so I am not sure what could be an issue...

If its WBP or marine ply then I really wouldn't worry about it. I have one fitted to my bath by the previous owner, it has very ugly 70's tiles on it so it has clearly lasted. Good ventilation in your bathroom is a definite help
