What about bathroom furniture Andyhop - do you have any recommendations? I need a unit for under my sink, a back to wall unit for the loo and a bath panel. My bathroom is small and I'm really struggling with design issues. I want it to look expensive and many of the units look really cheap and flimsy.

hardiboard or a cement based board should be used

Plywood becomes unstable if it becomes damp

It shouldn't become damp if it's all sealed in, though? How would I tell if it's hardiboard or plywood he's used? I do have a bit left over. I don't think it's a cement based board :-o

not gonna be able to test then, as I only have a sample of one :( You've not commented on the fact we've sealed it. Surely if no water can get in we're all fine?

I've just had mine refitted with Be Modern Atlanta units, total price for back to wall toilet and unit, another base unit and a double sink base unit plus sink, toilet, cistern, taps, worktop, plinths etc - basically everything except the bath was £1200. It looks really expensive and I'm over the moon with it. I've got a small bathroom as well and the range comes in various widths and also in slimline units.

I would have thought the sealing isn't the only issue - moisture can still get in anyway can't it and make stuff damp?

I am,any further questions ask away!

Use your local PTS (plumbing trade supplies) and ask for discount, On Bemorden items i save 45% of list price so this gives you a indication for what non-trade should be able to get
