I had all four of mine out (they were impacted). It was so painful. They had to break my jaw to get one of the lower ones out - I was asleep whilst it was being done but it was still horrid .....

I know exactly how you feel, you have my every sympathy. It's just miserable.

    Get well soon though ......

I had the same when I had 2 wisdom teeth out, it was the most pain I have ever known (had played rugby for years so used to pain of varying degrees).

My friend had a baby about a year before my op and texted the night he was born that it was the worst pain ever, so I said after my wisdom tooth op THAT was worse than childbirth (I haven't had kids yet, so still to find out!)

Anyway they didn't tell me till I went back, that they had to drill into the bone to get the tooth out so after the freaky sensation of shakes when I came out of the anaesthetic, then went home and my face swelled up to the size of mr staypuft. I couldn't sleep all night, I was on the sofa to stop me trying to sleep on my side, but I was awake all night, went straight back the nxt day and they gave me some stronger painkillers and another op under local. Couldn't eat proper food for over a week and I am not a fan of soggy food.

It was a nightmare for me, BUT I was unlucky, the teeth had deep roots into the bone. ow ow ow.

Next time any wisdom teeth come through(2 to go), they can stay unless they aree causing pain, the ones that were taken out weren't causing pain, they were growing in the wrong direction.
