BeanieLouLou :) - the mobile is a bit of a hangover from my previous long distance relationship. It seemed a good idea at the time, because I was actually spending about £100 a month on calls/texts etc. I'm tied into it until around Xmas I think, but after that, I will be back on PAYG, or a very cheap contract.

Bookie - aww, what a lovely post, thank you. :A

hi Snaggles, Just a quick post as I am really tired - nice to see you back :)

I was wondering if you need to pay for Ryan's nightime supplies? I work with children with additional needs and these kind of supplies are provided free. The health vistor will usually organise this for you.

Does your council tax include single person allowance? I'm guessing it does already as its relatively low, but just checking ;)

Well done on finding the extra tax credits money :D That makes a big difference, do you get it every 4 weeks? If so, in the one month when you get it (and child benefit) twice, could you put that extra payment away for something else? £132 child ben + £573 tax credits = £705, this could cover xmas, birthdays, car tax and mot for the year?? :D:D
    Mortgage Total: £50,720/ £75,000
    Mortgage Overpayments Pot £1587

Re the grocery budget - I'm hoping that Natasha might potty train over the summer. And Ryan WAS having medication for his night time bedwetting (it's part and parcel of the Aspergers Syndrome) but I stopped giving it during the split, because it was just stressing him if he had accidents. Thought it better to wait, and tackle it again once he was more settled. Maybe the time is right to do that now.

I allow £70 per week for all groceries, but without the nappies/pyjama pants, that could immediately come down to a much more reasonable £55. It includes all cleaning products and some toiletries too.

Prudent - just noticed that I cross posted this with you - nice to see you too. :)

I did ask about whether we could have the night time pants on prescription but was told no. I will ask again though.

BenBen - that's actually a fantastic idea for the 13th payment. I will have a look and see when the extra payment will fall. *mwah*

(and yes, single person discount included in the council tax payment)

Edit - Ooooh, the extra payment falls in November - that's rather handy!!

Great idea from Ben about the extra payment but if you are anything like me you will never actually see it :(
