I can't believe O2 have royally screwed me over today.

So today I was meant to receive an upgrade phone but DHL have gone and delivered to somewhere else.

I need the phone for tomorrow for a long trip and need access to email. They can't even manage to get a phone delivered to me. Please. Before anyone says it's DHL who deliver it - my contract is with O2 they need to get the phone to me.

I'm absolutely ******** livid they won't send me a new phone. They can't sort the problem out today. They first told ME to ring DHL and after 15 minutes waiting, they told O2 need to ring DHL  O2 ring DHL and said they'll enquire - so guess what, no phone for tomorrow. :mad::mad: Not even an apology.

Then.... Some clever clogs at O2 decides to block the phone from being used but for **** sake they can't even get that right. They manage to block my CURRENT phone\sim and now I can't make or send any calls  Not only that, they are going to send out a new sim in 3-5 days :mad::mad: 3-5 days!!! !!!!ing hell O2.:mad::mad:

But wait there's more. If I want to activate earlier I have to go to a shop get a sim and ring O2 and ask them to transfer over the phone number. !!!!!! O2. I don't have time for you, if you can't even bothered to make time for me.:mad::mad::mad:

I've told them, if I can't get this sorted tomorrow, I will promise to canvass all the O2 stores and dish out leaflets telling of their service failures.:mad::mad:

I'm so angry, I can't believe it! :mad::mad::mad::mad:

I love you MSE'rs!

Wow, sorry nads, that sounds crap.... Although I cant help but smile reading your post. I think even you have to laugh a little about how its all gone completely and utterly wrong.

Or perhaps its just a little schadenfreude on my behalf!!! ;) Either way, I honestly do hope you get this sorted asap, I know how frustrating it can be not to have a phone!

Your contract is with O2 yes, but DHL deliver the phones, DHL delivered it to the wrong person, Not O2. The only thing O2 did wrong was blocking the wrong number.
  • Wow, that is bad! Go get em!

I think the trouble is, all complaints initially fall on pretty deaf ears. Until you get through to someone with an ounce of common sense, they can be horrendous. I would hope once someone with an IQ above 6 hears of your complaint they start apologising and sorting it quick!

    good luck!
  • When did you actually order the phone though? You're supposed to allow 3-4 working days. And if it's only an upgrade, and you agree to the phone being blocked, then they didn't get that wrong either! You still have the sim card that would have gone in your new phone, so if they block it, well, the current phone won't work either!

I think your anger should be directed at DHL instead of O2, and by the way, I don't work for O2, in case you're wondering! lol

I ordered the phone on Sunday and was told it will be delivered on Tuesday, I wasn't told 3-4 days nor have ever come across an occasion where a phone is not given "special delivery" status.

My argument is with O2, it's up to them to take it up with DHL. If my car was to breakdown and RAC did not come in X amount of minutes I wouldn't start ringing up Highway Maintenance. O2's job was to get the phone to me on Tuesday. EDIT: They told me twice to ring them up tomorrow morning, to get someone to ring DHL! Surely that's taking the ****? They coudln't even be bothered to send email to a colleague in the morning to chase it up without me?

Money, that's exactly what they should have done, blocked the IMEI number but they blocked the sim too and now they can't get it off as it's still going through "the changes".

I needed that phone for tomorrow but they completely disappointed. If I don't complain to them then they won't action anything.

I've told them straight, I don't care how much embarassment it causes me, I will canvass the O2 shops in my home town with leaflets on their service if they don't sort this problem out!

What annoys me most is this is the one time I wanted service from them and this one time they messed it up beyond all belief.

I'm not the type of person to complain willy-nilly but this time it's different! I'm writing a letter and keeping open-minded about what they have to say for themselves.

Ok, it is DHL at fault, do you expect O2 to track every phone to the millimetre to make sure it gets to where it should? I can't see you accepting that any time soon so that is by the by.

As for your sim, if you go to an o2 store they fill out a form and your sim will be swapped within 6 hours, although I did one the other day and it was active and working in 3 minutes. The advisor told you this because it is a way for you to get it sooner than relying on the post. Not sure why you're having a new sim though, all it needs is for the bar to be removed.

If you needed the phone so quickly then why didn't you go into store for it? I never expect anything delivered within 5 days, if I had a strict timescale then I find another way of getting it.

Surely with your 'logic' if your car broke down it wouldn't be RAC's responsibility, but that of Fords/BMW's/Vauxhall's (or whoever makes your car).

As for the delivery, if DHL have managed to deliver it to the wrong address, then that is DHL's fault, not o2's. If I post something to an ebay buyer and Roayl Mail lose it, it's not my fault.

Think you are directing your anger at the wrong people here.
