Just don't forget us all when you're a rich Web 2.0 media baron.

    Good luck!

  • A very small, almost unknown artist threatened to sue a friend of mine because he posted a video of a song of theirs which he had filmed on Youtube. So he had to take it down.

That's all I need, it's bad enough now at some gigs trying to see around idiots recording by holding their phones up in the air.

While I'm here, also the ones who stand next to me and call all their mates to tell them what a great gig they're missing.

    Sorry goodnight.

I saw Ray LaMontagne at the Waterfront Hall in Belfast a few years ago, and some guy yelled something out when he walked on stage, and evidently his mate who he had not seen in a while was also present at the other side of the hall, and the two proceeded to have a shouted conversation ("how's it going?" "not too bad mate, what about yourself" etc) all while poor old Ray had to stand and wait for them to finish. He seemed to find it all quite amusing though.

Tut, shouldn't be able to hear the person next to you if it's a proper gig :p

Didn't say I could hear them, :p just the phone up to the ear/elbow out stance/holding phone up for mates (poss.imaginary) to hear music.

Actually 30+ years of gigs/operating agricultural and construction machinery, and I still have to turn the radio down in my work van after the 'kids' have been out in it.
