Hi, I just wanted to ask if SE are charging you a standing charge amount per day and if so how much this is? I am currently changing to EDF and found out today that they don't charge the standing charge rate which I have been paying with SE. If they are charging you the standing charge, this might be why the rates per unit are able to be so low.

If you read the OP's initial post you will see that he is on a 2 tier tariff.
    Gas
    initial - 4.10
    after - 2.01

However even if it was a daily charge, that would only raise the same 'standing charge' as raised by the 2 tier tariff.

Sorry to bump this up, but I have checked and you DO NOT get a discount card to use at Asda, what you do get is a number to phone where you can order £100 minimum of vouchers at a 5% discount.

How strange. The OP appears to have gone to ground after all those promises to share the information about this deal...

    Hi,

i havnt posted on here no, but that is becasue i hav had no further info

i have come round to thinking this wasa ploy but im still perplexed as to ,

    1) why they guy thought he coudl get away with it ?
    2) why SE havnt even responded to my 3 emails asking about business, or pointing out fraud in tehir ranks
    3) why if the guy thought he could get away with it did he not respond to my txts and voicemail stating i wanted to sign up if it was all true.

based on that i default to that fact it must be !!!!!, but never got an official confirmation either way - you wait until next time though, i will invite him in for a cuppa while i knock up a legally binding contract for him to sign regarding his offer and then i can send coies to the company and post on here etc at least i might be able to sue him then !

I go on what i am todl but i always follow it up, to be honest i was still expecting soem form of reply from SE but as i havnt had a reply form my insurange company either i guess they sometimes take a while to reply to emails.

Sticking with BG at the moment !

Seems a bit strange why a salesman would try and sign you then ignore you?

    Hi,
I just wanted to add my experience on here. I have recently switched to EDF (online V5 dual fuel) after following advice on the main website, and doing some comparisons.
I've just had a Southern Electric chap knock at my door, who claimed to be able to beat EDF 'because of deregualted rates' (?)
I said I'd look into it, and he has left me a price list which I have scanned.
BTW the prices are for Yorkshire - any thoughts?
