Hi
On my soa do I include all the bills in my name- even though husband pays them and I'm the only one going br?
All the bills other than council tax are in my sole name- yet I earn only £160 per mth. Also is it the same for food bills and car insurance?
ThanksLead me not into temptation, I can find the way myself.
wins - peroni bottle opener, peroni bowl, peroni coastersx2 and a vodkat cocktail kit,
would love to win something 'proper'!!0 -

Hi there,
You only need to include the costs you pay out of your own money, otherwise you will find your outgoings will exceed your income resulting in an unsustainable budget.
Hope this helps,

I know I'm being stupid, but does that mean that I could put down just food for a total of £160?

With regards bankruptcy, if your income was to increase and your surplus was to go over £100 then you would have to inform the Official Receiver and you would have to pay an income payment arrangement.
The fees for a DRO would be £90 and if you went down the route of bankruptcy if would be £510.
So I've been thinking again about a DRO but I have a few questions
1) will my bank account be checked every month?
2) how does income vs surplus work? Income will increase/decrease depending on the number of weeks in a month being paid weekly/hourly. So some months I could be under the limit but some I could be over.
3) After the 12 months will I be debt free or could I still have some debts?0 -
I know all my creditors so thats not a problem thankgod
From NDL
'If your DRO application is successful, then none of your creditors can take action to recover your debts for 12 months.'
Can they take action after 12 months?0 -
Hi
I wonder if you can help. i have debts of around 30k consisting of 19k negative equity and 11k personal loan. Both these transferred to me when my expartner went bankrupt. I also have credit card debts of1.5k and a CCJ for £1k for coucil tax on former home(see N.E above) Havent informed any of the cos of my new address so havent heard anything from them for a couple of years which is very strange.
I have 3 children ,7 - eldest of who, is reg disabled. i am her carer.
We are in receipt of the following benefits
DLA,Carers allowance,Tax credits,Housing Benefit & CTB
Now also finally receive maintenance via CSA. Have received a huge chunk of arrears
My question is - if i go bankrupt to get rid of the NE can the OR take part of the CSA child maintenance ?? ANd can he seize the 3k i currently have recd in arrears? i wanted to pay this into 3 neaccounts for the girls to be held by my Dad(dont trust myself!!)
I have no other assets
CAB advised to just ignore it as the mortage co arent chasing - but Ive done that for 3 years now & cant stick my head in the sand any more
Please clarify for me as its making me sick with worry about what to do next
Thanks0 -

Hi boltonangel,
You need to write down on the form what your expenditure is. If the £160 is your contribution to food then that is fine.
When you have your talk with the OR you will be able to clarify it.

hi there
i've recently gone bankrupt, all seemed pretty straightforward, and have been told i may not need to be given an ipo/ipa cos of income level etc.
will the OR keep a close eye on my bank account during the next 12 months?
i want to send some money to my family overseas
many thanks0 -
Hi I went BR in dec2004, I was in the middle of a divorce at the time and had a joint loan with my ex.
I am looking at cleaning up my credit report and have noticed that i'm still linked to my ex on my credit reports and she has defaulted on payments on that loan. how do I get her removed from my credit reports?
On other accounts of my own it is showing current balance's of £2783 and £1300 etc should these be marked as settled or something?0 -
Hello, after sticking my head in the sand for a while i contacted cccs and online we did the calculations. My remedy came back as going for bankruptcy (in scotland).
1) the lady i did my calculations with said i cant include council tax debts?, i dont know if that just applies to england?
2) we as a family are living off the child benefit and tax credits which are paid into my bank account. Would i lose this account? because if i do i dont know how i will manage to keep the house going.
3) will i have to attend a court hearing?
Thanks in advance0
