It is still an harrassment. Me thinks someone or a group have people have to take the brave step like this woman did. The result would certainly have far reaching implication on the whole debt collection industry in the UK0

Great news. People should keep reporting to OFT. The more complaints they receive, the faster they would rid the industry of all these bogus cowboy DCA0

The more the merrier. Well done OFT - you've taken your time but you are now doing a fine job of 'policing' the guidelines that you set up. :T :T
I sincerely hope that others who operate on the fringe of legality in the already questionable, but highly lucrative, marketplace that is 'debt collection' will take notice.I am NOT, nor do I profess to be, a Qualified Debt Adviser. I have made MANY mistakes and have OFTEN been the unwitting victim of the the shamefull tactics of the Financial Industry.
If any of my experiences, or the knowledge that I have gained from those experiences, can help anyone who finds themselves in similar circumstances, then my experiences have not been in vain.

will take notice.Click here for Martins (MSE) advice on who to contact with Debt Issues - YOU HAVE NO REASON TO USE A FEE PAYING DEBT MANAGEMENT COMPANY- THEY CANNOT DO ANYMORE FOR YOU THAN THOSE LISTED IN MY LINK ABOVE.
All information given by myself is offered informally and without prejudice - if in doubt seek help from a qualified and insured professional0 -

Of course, blindas - many people think that the OFT 'Debt Collection Guidance' applies only to Debt Collection Agencies, whereas the OFT quite clearly state (Sections 1.7 and 1.8) that:
1.7 This guidance applies to all consumer credit licence holders and applicants.
1.8 It (our Guidance)applies to the collection of debt once an account is in default.
As I read it the Guideance is applicable to anyone who is attempting to collect against an 'account in default' whether they be the Original Creditor or a DCA.
LloydsTSB would do well to remember that they 'survive' thanks to the 'albeit reluctant' generosity of the UK Taxpayers, many of whom are the unwitting victims of their (LloydsTSB) heavy handed tactics.I am NOT, nor do I profess to be, a Qualified Debt Adviser. I was looking at all three cases and it appears that the OFT taking action when the creditor renews or applies to alter their licence. Anyone know where the date of re-newal is listed. We could open a book on who is next (not really as i hate betting but I would wager three matches). If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing0
