I have answered at least one poster, today, who is being pursued by MH for a debt that is so 'Statute Barred' that it could appear on the 'Antiques Roadshow'.
We had one the other week that RAS was dealing with, did you notice it?

All information given by myself is offered informally and without prejudice - if in doubt seek help from a qualified and insured professional

Very good info with regards to Mckenzie Hall.
Is the OFT going to investigate Aktiv Kapital? Surely there must be loads of complaint against them
  • you mean expected them to behave rog2:confused:

They wont take it seriously untill it costs them money, as they wont have an income if they do as there told.

This warning is the start, but unless the OFT actually starts fineing them, they wont change, non of them will, they cant afford to play by the rules.

This could be the start of the end for DCA's, but only if the OFT back up the warnings, im just not convinced they will

Yes, they are certainly abusing the rules and should be stopped.

Oh dear it seems it may get worse too, for them and others:D

    Yep. I saw that.

There was someone here a week or two ago who had the exact same treatment from British Gas.

After I told them about that case, I suspect a BG complaints department employee got a nasty shock when they called again. ;):D

The big question is will a court act the same way, even if the debt is owed, if the debtor has tried to reach an agreemant, but the DCA has carried on pressureing them, in theory they should, its still herassment, but we shall have to wait and see
