I have known people on low incomes who can save the thing as it can has been suggested they can save £1 or something.
Sorry I have not been around it is just that someone at MSE decided to have 2 threads and the one I was registered for was not this one for some reason.0 -
Thanks for all your replies - Orkney steel toe caps sound like a good idea! DD has been playing a bit of football in her break time and has an prefectly good left shoe and a naff right one!!
Regards to saving I have a tiny amount I had put aside for our hol in October am going to get this out from credit union and pay off some of OD. So I suppose when I say it's hard to save it's true but I do put a set amount away for hol/xmas every week - well I did until I lost my job anyway!0 -
I recieved my post today and there was a letter from my bank HSBC!! Writing to let me know that they had reviewed my overdraft of £1200 on the 21/11/09 and was cancelling it!! Only problem was they stopped my overdraft on the 20/11/09 and I recieved the letter on 24/11/09. I am now on my way to the bank!!! THIS IS GOING TO BE A GREAT CHRISTMAS!!!!!!!!!!0

Mozzz, like you i got the same letter from HSBC last week, which made me panic so i rang them & was told by one of there advisors that the letters went out in error & it would not be removed & that it would be reviewed on the 14th dec & to call them then to discuss it & that they may not remove it & to call on that date & they would sort it over the phone as he advised me that if i went in to branch they wouldn't make a decision on it & that they would call them.
But when i called today with regards to another matter i was told by another advisor that it would be removed on the 17th december & that i needed to make an appointment with someone in branch to discuss paying it back. CONFUSED OR WHAT & thats just HSBC never mind me.
Let me know how you got on0
