Isnt there an obudsman that people can take this to? If so many people went to them about it, it would be bought out ino the open wouldn't it? and then maybe the government would do something about it......or am i being naiive?

My other thought is to send them a letter telling them that they have occurred admin charges (for your paper, ink and time!) I know someone who did this once and surprisingly it was paid.Out of a breakdown...

Digit............typical banks can do as they wish...............unanswerable.........
"tell me have you thought of mentioning this to the FOS (OMBUDSMAN)and or FSA......dont answer let me guess..........no...........because you have no idea(with respect) who they are are what they do..................In any case the the FOS wont get involved until the banks have kicked you around the streets for a while.....and when/if they get involved dont hold your breath...........you'll be looking at the best part of a year for a decision.
