Good afternoon everyone
All these stories about what to do with children bring back memories...
fayjmck - :rotfl: at the potions. I used to drive my mum and gran crazy doing that! One of the first books I ever read on my own was George's Marvellous Medicine by Roald Dahl, and I have a sneaking suspicion that might have contributed to it...
DawnW - best of luck in the job search, and same to everyone else who's looking atm *hugs for all*
Urg and CrapWithCash - best of luck with the studying and exams!
Today I have/will:- done daily clicks and scratchcards (10p and 25p)
- handed in the dreaded assignment :j
- managed to claim that Lightspeed reward at last!
- look into applying for my tution fees/student loan for 2009/2010
- make packed lunch for tomorrow - was a bit pushed for time today so ended up buying a Boots Meal Deal at the station. Not very MS, is it?

- evening class tonight at college

I have my deep tissue massage today - am really looking forward to it!
urg x x
Urg, hope the massage goes well and its a nice kind of pain you experience. Do bear in mind though that the first deep tissue massage you have you are likely to be in some kind of pain afterwards, more so than before. The first massage is always the worst but after that you will really feel the benefits. I love giving deep tissue as you can really see the benefits on clients.
Dawn, sorry to hear about the job predicament, hope you find something else soon.:j Live on £4500, £2531/£4500:T 101 in 1001 (52/101):j:beer::j

Hi Andan
You are right - I do hurt but it is the good kind of hurting. The therapist told me I had lots of knots in my shoulders - I had to really breathe through the pain!
She also suggested I might need to see an Osteopath for my posture and a possible issue with my hip. All I can see is high costs but the Sports Centre at my work has a good complementary therapy team and very good prices. In some cases about 40% cheaper!

Update - lovely electrician is going to contact daft tenant directly to arrange to sort out their DIY efforts with a wet mains fire alarm . Bless him, he said he would even go into the shop where she works and find her if she does not answer her phone :rotfl:
Dentist went ok, nothing to be done
As for the job, well it drives me round the bend most of the time, so I am not too bothered about it to be honest
, though I do realise that I am lucky to be able to say that. My OH does not earn as much as I do, but we have savings and can manage if necessary - we will just have to be more frugal like when the kids were little
Lots of my contemporaries have already 'retired' - lucky things! I am sure I will find something to do, as I have loads of contacts. I would be quite happy just to find some part time FE teaching if necessary. We only have a mortgage, no other debts now, and it is not a huge one! 0 -

As long as you have given 24 hours notice you can go in using your own set of keys, so if you dont have any luck then just write a letter giving 24 hours notice basically saying that you will be round on x date at x time and if she isnt there then you will go on in.0 -

we are lucky to have an excellent letting company. From the side of the tenants i have had some awful landlords, like landlords who would just walk in to the property without notifying us, this happened on several occassions.
However what our letting company do is send us out a letter and they have given the company our details to get in touch with us direct. When it comes to property visits they send us a letter stating a date and inform us that they will be coming that day, we have the choice either to be in or they will use their spare key.
Bit dissapointed as the pamper party for tomorrow night has been cancelled so my busy massage week is dwindling, know i should use the extra time to catch up with things, but its a little dissapointing none the less.:j Live on £4500, £2531/£4500:T 101 in 1001 (52/101):j:beer::j

Walked home from work today, and resisted a latte on the way into work this morning thereby saving £1.20;
Did pop out at lunchtime and bought a grey sweatshirt from a charity shop (£3) as I've been looking for a plain grey (no hood) sweatshirt for ages now................
Now off to the gym to make the most of my membership and try and lose my fat butt.Almost debt-free, but certainly even with the Banks!0 -
Thanks SM for thread
Shame about pamper party Andan, doubt you will be short of a thing or 2 to do though!!:rotfl:
Hopefully the redundancy will give you he opportunity to find something you really enjoy Dawn, good luck
Fay - Pip already likes boxes!! Lay there and study a smarties easter egg box intently for about 30 mins the other day!!
Today I have:- Paid in my cheques
- Used coupons in Boots and got lots of baby mush for when Pip starts to eat in a couple of weeks, will make my own normally but thought as I had good money off offers may as well use them. Also got BOGOF Pantene and had a £1 off coupon for it too. Got double points and a bonus 100 points
- Poor little seedlings have recovered from their melting yesterday so continued to talk to them.
- Printed the order of ceremony booklets for naming ceremony.
- Talked to a very nice lady from Payplan who is sending a pack for my DMP. She said whilst income is low (whilst on SMP) then offer reduced payments. Can be as little as £1 but I will give them as much as I can afford to. I feel a lot less stressed about it all now.
- Store cupboard tea.
- Made first payment to Halifax for OH in accordance with his DMP.
- Friend round for a chat, no petrol for me!
Debt at LBM [strike]£17,544[/strike] £5700:TOver £14,000 PAID OFF :T
2020 the year of less - Less debt, less waste, less spending, less stuff, less stress!0
