DawnW - really sorry to hear about the job. It seems like it was a mixed blessing. Good luck with the interviews.

Crapwithcash82 - I am finishing a Management Diploma - part of my grand plan () to get moving up the career ladder.

Aw thats the split I have as well - full on but hard work

I use to put a couple drops of food colouring in the bath and they's play in the lovely warm coloured water in their swimming cosies - with aload of toys

free and kept them amused for half an hour! We use to pick the colour of the bath - as we used so little it didnt damage their skin or the bath water - and its great iwth a few bubbles - or doing a colour change when the bath is half full of red water - we would add some blue and make it purple as if by magic - :)

DS use to love lego in the bath - no idea why, he'd potter about for hours - he still sometimes takes some in the shower with him :D
    Just don't tell him I told you:rotfl:

I used to do this too! But one day when DD1 was about 4, she decided she would do it on her own and tipped in a whole bottle of green food colouring  She, DS and the bath, flannels and sponges, toys etc all went bright green all over, and not all of it would come off (well obviously it (mostly) did eventually, but not in time for school the next day ) Luckily their teacher thought it was hilarious - she had also been on the receiving end of some of DD1's 'ideas' :rotfl:

DD1 has a little girl of her own now, who is 2. She is very like her Mum in the mischief department, and now gets even for me by getting into all sorts of trouble :rotfl:
  • Hee hee heee

DD makes pasta using food colouring too and is often at school with dodgy looking hands

Dawn sorry to hear about your redundancy - i mind you you saying that you were the main earner in the household - hope things will be OK. x

If I dispose of my supervisor - you can have his job?:)

Bath, tons of bubbles and tons of toys. Or lots of empty bottles is also fun.
Park with football, lunch and drinks.
    A bus ride.
    Any library story/rhyme times?
My nephew is 2 and he loves lots of empty bottles and cupboards, just keeps putting them in and taking them out
    Feed ducks.

Uhhhmmmm trying to remember what I did when mine were that small!
  • OOhhh cardboard boxes - mine use to spend hours in them under them out of them - etc

Any size at all - we had a washing machine delivered once and they made a house out of the box lasted for about a year

    :)

    Carpet picnics
Making tents in the living room or garden with sheets (they still do this) (infact so do i)

Making magic potions with kitchen ingredients (maybe a bit wee for that one yet??!) and making magic potions with garden ingredients mud, leaves flowers etc makes a nice witches/fairy potion

baking buns or choc crispies with the 2 year old

Using them to pick weeds out of the gravel too - but that is really child labour.
