I am sure most people would not call posting at 7.06am on a Sunday, a lie in, but yes - I got up a bit later than normal!

Done a dooyoo review, and scratchcards - making the most of them while they are there.....

.....for those that do Virgin scratchies, you should have an email saying that they are stopping using St Miniver on 20th May, so you should withdraw your balance before that date. Whilst you will still be able to play bingo through the Virgin site, you won't be able to do the scratchcards any more after 20th May........

So, make sure you make the most of it and do your double scratch today guys!

My OH left the house at 7:30 this morning! Not to go to work, no no no...

To go CYCLING!!! :eek:

I stayed in bed! I shall be having a toddle down to Canary Wharf later, vegetables need buying from the supermarket and Walshy needs to inhale the shiny without hayfever attacks! :T

Hi Walshy - get yourself out of bed early and get out there too!!! It is lovely first thing in the morning before all the awful people go out and get in your way :rolleyes:

I have just been for a run - apart from the Race for Life last week it is the first run I have done since the marathon. It was quite hard, but I am glad I got out there and did it. Only 4 miles, but that is 4 miles towards my next marathon :rotfl:

thanks for the info. on virgin scratchcards. They say something about the bonus becoming cash in their email but that won't happen until the 20th may. Do I have to withdraw all my money (cash and bonus) befor the 20th? Will the money disappear after that date? Gosh - I am confused!!!
Anyway a sunny day so off to garden centre with children this afternoon - they are going to plant radishes!:j

My email says either play it through or withdraw it before 20th May, so I would assume it will be lost after that date if you do neither. I will be withdrawing mine on 19th.....

I fear for how long scratchcards will be round too I have had some nice payouts from them, I am still doing TAB for the bonus cash and once I get to a fiver or so i will attempt to win some cash, never won on that site yet though on bingo!

The thing is to remember that all of these things will come and go......and that is why we need to make the most of more of the boards on MSE - because that is where we will find the info on where the next good thing is.

But of course, we are in difficult times, and so companies will be cutting back on their own expenditure - marketing budgets have already suffered, which is why we don't get so many pigsback points, for example, and incentives such as the free scratchcards can cost them a lot of money if no one then plays real money on the rest of their site....so it is not surprising that these things are being cut.

Sadly.......

So.....get hunting through the "up your income" threads, the "referrals" board, and the "quidco - no spends required" thread, and see what's what!!

The other way of doing things is.....

Work out what you are making from the free scratchcards - say £10 or £20 a month, and challenge yourself to reduce your grocery bill this month by that amount.

Net result is the same - it just comes from a slightly different part of MSE life!

Enjoy your day!! Is Mindil market the night one next to a beach, not too far from the town centre? If so I've been there! :T It was the last one of the year (End of Oct 2000) and a bit mad! I bought a lovely pendant there but I distinctly remember bongo drums and samosas were involved in the evening too! :rotfl:

I have managed to pick up another phone mystery shop for next week....and another dooyoo review done......and, and, and (said in stylee of excited toddler) I have had a NSD so far.

I say, so far, we have not got much bread for lunches tomorrow but I have hidden the loaf so that no-one notices said lack of bread, thereby preserving my NSD
