Most of the time I just get 10p on the scratchcards - but over time it adds up reliably, and as you have already shown, all the free money soon adds up! OK, so some months are slower than others, but then occasionally you get a bumper month which is just fantastic!!

If you haven't already done so, get over to the "make £10 a day challenge" - there are loads of good ideas on there too!

taka, well done on lunch - it is a day off for me today, so lunch was a cheese sandwich. I will make a salad later today to take into work tomorrow though.

OH has made a stock from the chicken carcass, so I will make a soup with that for later in the week.......I am determined to get through this without going off track, as I am sure this is where I can make the biggest improvement without compromising lifestyle in any way!

Me too... along with the added bonus of eating much healthier food if I make it rather than buy it! I might have overdone it on the fruit today though... as well as the strawbs I brought a pear, grapes and 2 satsumas with me :rotfl: I had museli with dried fruit for breakfast too! I'll be a walking fruit salad if I eat all that today :rotfl:

Pear is disappearing as we speak ... I want the hobnobs though... Usually my office has a regular supply of cakes and choc but no-one has been on holiday/bought to much for lab meeting/fancied making a cake/birthday recently and my student (who has just left) most inconsederately didn't deliver the normal jumbo sized tin of choc as a leaving thank-you! Must train them better next time  :rotfl:

Craving hobnobs as we speak so far Ive been fairly good today:

    Good apple and banana
Bad/Inbetween Muller fruit corner + Rocky bar
Ugly large slice of strawberry cream roulade

Just trying to make myself think a satsuma will be yummy.

    I've had:

    Breakfast - porridge
Lunch - cheese & branston sandwich
    Snack - 6 hobnobs :o

Just off to do dinner - roast chicken, roast new potatoes and parsnips (using olive oil), brocoli and gravy :D

Then will make soup with the stock for lunches in the week :T

That's not tooo unhealthy is it  Well, it certainly could have been a lot worse.......
