I know I should just accept that there is only so much one person can do - but I can while away hours on MSE, but yet can't seem to get off my bum and do even the basics of the housework!

BUT - I did do a big big pile of ironing, and put it away this evening - have put another couple of loads through the machine, though, so the ironing pile will be back to the same size in the morning no doubt

I have a 5.30 start in the morning - DS is ski racing.......oh the joys :rotfl:

urgh, I hate these early mornings......and I didn't get much sleep for the few hours that I WAS in bed  A mucho-coffee day today I think!

DS is off ski racing, but I have managed to get him a lift, so it could be worse, I could be driving.....and of course, it saves me petrol and my food money, so on the few occasions I can get him a lift, I will happily take advantage of it. Next week it is my turn to drive, so I will take someone else in return.

Today is race for life day - I am running later this afternoon, so might be able to get an hour or two rest this morning (she says hopefully, but expecting pigs to fly first!)

    List for today then:
    • [STRIKE]Help DD do DS's paper round in addition to her own[/STRIKE]Done
    • [STRIKE]Scratchcards[/STRIKE] got 50p on one
    • [STRIKE]Online banking[/STRIKE]done
    • [STRIKE]look at exchanging clubcard vouchers for deals[/STRIKE]Done
    • Race for Life
    • Tidy and clean the hall/stairs/landing
    • write a dooyoo review
    • cancel DVD trial I should have done yesterday
Hope you all have a good one!

    Hi Hypno
Been reading about your untidy house concerns. I agree with you there is only so much one person can do. TBH I'm now of the mind that I'd rather live in a home than a show house. It's like painting the forth bridge in this house.

My sons are just such typical boys (I hope !) Once in from school the shoes/bags etc are just 'there'. Socks just appear on windowsills and school newsletters crumpled up on kitchen tables.

It's just constant, I don't go to aerobics or keep fit classes because I spend an hour a day charging around the place picking up etc !

    So you are not alone.

"A place for everything and everything in its place" is the sort of thing I get from the yummy mummies.........

Yup, a place for everything - that place just happens to be on the floor/on the chair/in a pile next to the other pile that has just fallen over.......:o

I have been saving my clubcard vouchers to use when we go to Center parcs in the restaurants.......just went on the clubcard site, and center parcs are stopping accepting the vouchers a month before we go. Typical.

All is not lost though - I might use them to go to Cadbury World for a day out instead........:D I have about £190 (once you have done the 4 x value for deals) so I am sure I can find plenty to spend them on!

lol, I will do my best lucielle!

I think we will take a day in either the summer or the October half term holiday, and go to Cadbury world. That gives me chance to save up some £2 coins to cover the petrol and lunch etc :D

Then, with the other vouchers, I will be able to send the children to the local theme park one day in the summer hols, and hopefully have a couple of nice meals out at cafe rouge :T

In other news - I am clearing my conservatory!!!!! I can now get in, and even get to the chairs! By the end of the day we will be able to sit down and enjoy whatever we get of the English summer

Hypno have you been to Cadburys World - I was v disappointed in it, wasn't like Willie Wonkas at all . I wouldn't use my hard earned vouchers on it.

You could always sell on ebay for double the face value & colour a square or two in ;)
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort

Hi GG - no, we've never been to Cadbury World, but the children are quite keen to go, and as we so rarely get to go out as a family, it seems like a reasonable option. It will only cost me £10 in vouchers, so not so bad. I have sold some on ebay before which went towards the childrens skiing and having saved this lot up hoping to use it for our holiday spends, I am a little disappointed! Having said that - last week in London we went to Cafe Rouge for our dinner and it was really nice - I could quite cope with having a couple of "free" meals out there over the summer.......a nice treat without spends.

But of course the option of colouring in another couple of squares quite appeals too :p:o

I second this it is very disappointing and not worth the trip especially with your children being the ages they are they won't be interested in the little park or the entertainer which were very poor anyway  and to top it all the chocolate isn't that cheap to buy!
