Hi nargle - my problem with lunches is due to the fact that I am surrounded by choice - delis, coffee shops, bistros......all within a stones throw and very tempting!!

Have done the Tesco shop - spent £151  but have now got a full freezer and full fridges and cupboards, so hopefully this will see us through for at least the next two weeks. I am armed with a pad of paper and my receipt, so I will go through it to come up with as many meals as possible so that I don't waste anything.

About an hour after getting home, I had a surprise visit from a friend who I have not seen for 3 years! After the initial shock of bringing her into my "hoover, what's that?" house, only to find out that she has developed OCD in tidiness and cleanliness, we had a lovely few hours catching up. It is one of those "true" friendships, where we can go years without so much as a phone call, yet can still pick up where we left off as though it was yesterday.

But I was very embarrassed about the state of the house - it is only in the last couple of years I have not been able to do the housework - so whenever she has visited before (and when we were on maternity leave, we spent every day in each others houses, so she has been a frequent visitor!) it has been quite tidy - I think it was a bit of a shock for her too!

So I must sort this inability out.........I just don't know where to start :o

    1. If you don't take dosh to work with you then you can't spend it can you?

    2. Sounds like you need Kim and Aggie...hell, I need Kim and Aggie!!

Sounds like you have my problem - OCD when it comes to making lists for everything. Trouble is there is so much stuff going on in my head that if it were not for my list of things to do nothing would get done.

She came to see you Hypno, not the house. I am sure you were good company and as you say picked up where you left off. Look at how rich and full your life is with activities and jobs and whatnot...your recent achievements re the marathon and the race tomorrow are proof of that.

nargle - yes, not taking money helps, but I think it is more the habit of taking something in from home, rather than anything (if that makes sense!).....:o

And as for the house - I just want it to be semi tidy - not worried about immaculate, just tidy would be nice :o

I have done some ironing this evening though.........
