I don't hoard
But Popeye and his Dad  do.
How smug were they when Dad produced a bit of an old computer desk so we could turn a wardrobe into a computer cupboard and roll the keyboard out from under the shelf where the monitor was, AND an old unopened motion sensor light for the patio
I had the last laugh though, the light exploded when he tried to screw it into the wall as the plastic was so old it had become brittle, and the keyboard shelf pulled the whole lot down the first time he rolled it out with the equipment on it - it was just too heavy. :rotfl:
Hoarding
If you replaced something because the original thing wasn't good/attractive enough, when the replacement fails, you STILL won't want the original - just remember that :rotfl:
so how come my house is full of clutter? :whistle:0 -
Forget what the yummy mummies say - slummy mummies have more fun. Says she, trying to summon up the willpower to get off her arris and do the ironing......One life - your life - live it!0

Hope you enjoyed your race for life today...well done on doing the ironing.
That's a disappointment with the vouchers but I'm sure you'll come up with some idea what to use them on.0 -
Just back from the Race for Life - 28 mins 46 seconds - I am happy enough with that, after the efforts of last weekend!
Shaun, I love your OH's labels for the boxes :T
GTD - nice to see you!! Hope everything is well with you and yours!
Everyone else popping by - I hope you are enjoying the long weekend xSuccessful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -
Well done on race Hypno, cracking time as Grommit would say.Blackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?
Still lurking around with a hope of some salvation:cool:0 -
Well done Hypno! I did a 5 mile race today in 48 mins, now thinking of doing a 10k soon.
And sympathies with the housework. My house is a total tip, I would die if a friend with a tidiness OCD came round. I'd have to hide behind the curtains and pretend I wasn't in.Total debt: 1 January 2007 £[strike]49,387.79[/strike] 1 January 2012 £[STRIKE]19,312.85[/STRIKE] 1 August 2012 £11,517.620 -

thanks bob - I was quite happy with it given the fact that my legs were punished severely last weekend!
It has given me a bit of confidence to carry on running, so hopefully I will start to improve a bit over the next few months! And maybe, just maybe, I will finally start to lose a little bit of weight!!Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes.
