so.......where's this new diary, then?
It will come when I'm not so groggy and sneezy... So tomorrow once I have been to Conditor and Cook and had cake (google them, I swear the cakes are as orgasmic as they look!):rotfl:
There's other reasons as well, all my friends are off to Malaysia on Saturday and leaving me behind because I got myself into debt and can't secure a permanent job. I'm not sad about it, more horrendously jealous, but it's made me more determined to actually get my life sorted! Debt Free since July 2011 and it feels good!
Now it's all about finding a deposit for a house!
How do you amass £70k in a year?! :eek:0 -
hmmm.....I would be very jealous too - despite my best efforts not to be!
Talking of cake - I will have been in my current job for 1 year next week, so will have to buy cake I suppose to celebrate.Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -
A whole year? Really? It seems so recently you were in the prison.
I need some advice. I'm going to a party on Saturday, it's being given by a good friend to celebrate the tenth anniversary of her arriving in London. She's hired a bar, there will be food and drink laid on, and knowing my friend it will be a really good do. So my dilemma is... do I take a present? And if so, what?Total debt: 1 January 2007 £[strike]49,387.79[/strike] 1 January 2012 £[STRIKE]19,312.85[/STRIKE] 1 August 2012 £11,517.620 -
Seaxwyn, sorry - you posted just as I had gone to bed. My answer would be that it is not an occasion where a present would be expected. What I would do is to make a home made card - no shop bought card will say "on the 10th anniversary of you arriving in London" but you can make a really personal one which will do as card and present all rolled into one, it is a personal gift, and no one else will have done the same.
The only other thing I can think is to take a bottle of champagne, but that requires spending, unless you have a bottle in the wine rack that you can dust down.Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. 2 loans have come out and a scratchcard tenner has hit my account, which I have transferred to the egg loan, so my debt has reduced by £581 today......signature duly updated, and I will colour in squares when I get to work
The egg loan now stands at £4726, so I really want to focus on getting that down to zero - it is key to providing the way of managing without the student, as the monthly payment is £422.......Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. Oh, and in a bid to stop spending unnecessary money, May sees my "lunch challenge" with myself - no shop bought temptations at lunchtime for the month. I have made myself a salad to take with me today, so I am off on the right foot!
happy mayday everyone!Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -
