Shelly, it was the property section today that has spurred me on - go grab a copy and then put that Amex away!!!

There were some beautiful ones :j all way above my price range  so might as well spend more money :rotfl:

You're welcome to that one, shelley - I didn't like the colour of the walls in the front room.....

If I could afford it - I'd be able to get a man in to redecorate :p

Ah, that's the difference you see - all my money would have gone on the cost of the house plus the removal expenses....there is nothing left in my budget for redecorating......

I am hoping it might last me a little longer......

I am not going to count my trip to see Take That on Saturday, because I wouldn't get a small bottle of water for £20 probably.....but I will certainly count anything that I spend at the ski race on Sunday.....

Take that isn't exactly going as planned - my friend who is supposed to be coming with me, well, her mum died a couple of days ago. The funeral is a week on Monday, so family are arriving over that weekend......I am sort of assuming that she won't really be in the right frame of mind to go to a concert, although I haven't yet worked out how to broach the subject without looking insensitive!

If she can't come, I will prob put the ticket on ebay as I have paid for it.....and that would cover the costs incurred on the day re food and drink etc.......thereby saving my £20 for another few hours!

I went to see Jamie Cullum supported by Amy Winehouse before either of them were really famous and if you showed your car keys you got free bottles of water all evening!!!!

totally irrelevant but there we go !

Not much to report - have done a couple of dooyoo reviews and it is double scratch day today too.......

I have decided to have a £20 challenge.....

As anyone who has seen my spending diary knows, one of my problems is spending the odd 80p on coffee at the ski club, 50p on chocolate etc.......so I have taken out £20, and will see just how long I can make it last.

The idea is that this doesn't cover milk, bread or other essentials that I have to buy during the week, nor will it cover bus fare etc, but it has to cover anything I could think twice about spending, or could find a cheaper way of doing it.

So.......I have no idea how long this will last for, but it is worth a go.....!

Alternatively, you could take out a fiver in pennies. You'd think twice about handing that over... ;)

For the first time in my life I'd turn down a slice of cake - was it rock buns?

but it would be fun knowing that the people in the queue behind me each time would be kept waiting just that little bit longer :o
