Thanks for all the nice messages yesterday.
Back to reality today, though.........money will be in the bank tomorrow, but for today I am skint as always on the day before payday...
One day, I will be looking at a positive balance at this time of the month, one day......
I picked up another phone mystery shop for next week, so that will all help. The next target will be OH egg loan - because I can overpay that in the same way as I have been overpaying mine - when that has gone it will be another £196 a month, which, again will make a good difference to the monthly budgets.Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. Morning, hi all. jusy caught up - again
Hypno - amazing news - just goes to show you are good at your job, in such difficult times for your industry!
Tomorrow you can redo the snowball, as it was 11 paydays until debt free - how many pay days will it be..................... exciting!
Me xOne small step for ME, one giant leap for my family!
2015 - my Amazon Gift Certificate mini challenge - saving to buy small household electrical items.
Total £9.120 -
ohhhh Hypno - congratulations - what a great feeling.
We seem to be taking two steps forward and one back here as just had increase debt to pay off a credit card that we thought was 0% on a balance tf till next January but we had some purchases which were 0% till March this year and although we paid that bit in full they are now clobbering us with 15.9% on the balance tf bit as the payment was not received before the March statement went out - I read it that it needed to be paid when the March statement was received!!!
Oh well - at least the other debt is only 4.9% but its a bit of a bummer !
Got a mouthful of ulcers today so feeling a bit worn out so no swimming today - but we are off surfing on Sunday so the weather had better stay good !!
Hope you have a good one0 -
Hello and good morning!!:D currently being blinded by the sun streaming through my velux window, not gonna complain about that!!!:D:D
Hypno, I cant think of anyone who deserves a bonus more than you do.
Thinking back to the days of our cups of tea when we were bemoaning our debt and how we couldn't even afford to go out for breakfast let alone afford a holiday. How far you have come from then is nothing short of amazing. With a student being a necessity to lessen the shortfall each month, although there still was one and for you to have to do so many different mystery shops/ebays/matched bets/ski club work just to balance the books...to the situation where you could now be without a student, have lowered your debt by over 30 grand and are getting bonuses in a career you never thought you'd return to is down to the sheer determination, strong will and love from your family that i have always admired in you. :A
I know that determination and strong will has rubbed off on many members here over the years and that alone is worth thousands in bonuses. I really am so pleased for you that all your hard work has finally paid off. debt freedom is around the corner!!!:T
I have stumbled a little since, well, last year really, on my debt free quest, but your debt total is scarily breathing down the neck of mine now so i need to pull my finger out, get my a into g and get moving again!!!
I hope you really enjoy making that payment tomorrow, next year it WILL be a holiday:j (and i fully expect an invite madam right!!)debt @05/11/11 £12210.63!! slowly chipping away!!:heart2:impossible is nothing.:heart2:0 -
Its my payday tomorrow too, should be 25th but early cos of bank holiday, I have £5, £2.50 in bank and about £2.50 in purse today! :rotfl:Now a SAHM trying to earn some spare pennies each month0

debt @05/11/11 £12210.63!! slowly chipping away!!:heart2:impossible is nothing.:heart2:0 -
Thanks P! One way or another, we have ALL come a long way so far. Long way still to go but we are getting there, one way or t'other!
I sometimes put dooyoo reviews in on word first too - it sort of takes the pressure off! Other times I whack 'em straight into dooyoo without hardly thinking about what I am writing (which is probably reflected in the difference in quality of some of my stuff!!).
I have £2 to get to be at next cashin, so will have to do at least one review today.........
surfbabe, I too have a mouth full of ulcers - run down. I don't think I have recovered fully from the effort of the marathon...and work is always stressful......oh I am getting sooo oldSuccessful women can still have their feet on the ground. thanks for the advice hypno - did ind the dratted scratchcard in the end! Won 25p which went straight into cash balance so brilliant :T I am going to cancel Take a Break and, as someone suggested earlier, start another miniver account if I can. Can I use this bonus money in take a break to gamble with? How do I do that? What other scratchcard sites do people use at the moment which are still paying out in cash??
Lots of questions because I am such a dummy when it comes to all things internet (well, apart from shopping ) and I am afraid I will suddenly find myself in a gambling spiral with bingo rooms taking my cash and with me powerless to stop it
A day of marking beckons but I will get the spreadsheet done today i am absolutley determined.
When will you update your signature? Can't wait to see those 30s become 20s!
Thanks again for all the help - I do feel that I just post on here for selfish advice reasons so apologies!:embarasse I shall endeavour to be more of a helpful poster in future!0
