Don't post often Hypno, but just wanted to say YAY!!! on the bonus and the Egg loan.... I don't think we can appreciate just how hard you and your family work on a day to day basis (although we do get a fairly good idea from your diary!) and you SO deserve this!
 Cheers to a student free life!

Fab news I'm sure the 20s will soon be the teens :T
It is starting to look like the end is in sight!
It won't make any "extra" difference in so far as we won't be any better off if we don't have the student, but at least we won't be any worse off......and it starts us off on the road to some sort of normality!Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. Thank you - I am just a little bit excited by it! Although, I have done a fair bit of "if only I could spend it on......." this afternoon/evening.Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. Wow, I bet you *have* been daydreaming .... maybe you need to spend some of it on a family meal to celebrate.
I'm very, very pleased for you, this is absolutely great news!
We want to know exactly what you do with the squares, what colour you do them, whether they're all the same, which are sparkly, that sort of thing!2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -

Well done Hypno - that's terrific news on paying off the Egg card. It feels so good to get rid of a debt - even better than spending the money did in the first place. In fact definitely better than spending money.;)
Funny how I use to feel exhilarated spending money but now get a much better feeling saving and clearing the debt. We are no nearer clearing the £33,000 :eek:so must do the spreadsheet as you advised!
I cannot get my head around the new Virgin site and don't know how to access the free scratchcard although i can see it advertised on the home page. What are the bingo rooms and where do I go from there? On the plus side they did convert my bonus money to cash so I am up £6.10 which is good:D
Will start exam marking tomorrow :eek:which is my only source of income as maternity pay has fizzled out now. I cannot even look at the piles of GCSE Literature papers which are currently littering our conservatory - never mind tomorrow is another day!0 -
There is so much I could do with it:
much needed new windows.....
or a car to replace the one I sold last year.....
or a fortnight in the Seychelles......
or A cleaner and a gardener and an ironing lady.......
but instead it will be a takeaway and goodbye to the egg loan.......Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0
