Yep. I think so. I received mine today. It is smashing. I actually can not believe it would arrive as never ever receive any before. So thank you for a great freebie.

If you check out the latest issue of balance (if you don't receive it there will be copies at your local diabetes centre) there are always free meters available. Would suggest that you look for the smallest sample size for your dad, as well as a decent screen size. Average sample is 0.5ul and smallest is 0.3ul. This means it hurts a little less.....

feeling quite pleased that these don't seem to be selling particularly well on e bay at the moment and would encourage anyone who is diabetic to join diabetes uk or ask at the diabetes clinic next time you need a meter or finger pricker.
  • Thanks OP got mine today and gave it to my dad. He had to pay for his last one and it is quite old now. It arrived really quickly too, I only enetered my details a few days ago. Hes started using it straight away.

Really pleased that this is a great freebie which is extremely useful for diabetics. :T:T:T:T

This one appears to be still active:
    http://www.diabetes.co.uk/promotions/bayer-meters.html
You get a choice of 2 types of meter

Worth keeping an eye on this promotions link for future meter giveaways:
    http://www.diabetes.co.uk/promotions/

Also 3 types for "free" here but you have to pay for p+p only:
