Hi All
Glad to see you are all getting your new monitors. I am posting on behalf of the Insulin Dependent Diabetes Trust (IDDT). As a registered charity we collect unopened, in date test strips to send to developing countries, where people cannot afford the equipment they desperately need. If you now have any such test strips that you will no longer be using because you have a new monitor, then please send them to us at IDDT, PO Box 294, Northampton, NN1 4XS .:A0 -
Must admit - I got one and then ebayed it - I am not diabetic.
But after receiving it and seeing what a nice piece of kit it was, I donated 50% to a youth diabetic charity. So I got a few quid, the charity got a few quid and someone got a pack at half price.
Still - it is one I felt a little bad about as people out there deserve it more than us who sell them. Anyway - just a thought................ Have you ever wondered what

IMO you should've either given 100% of the money to that charity or just not been so greedy in the first place & someone who had a genuine need for one could've have the one you sold......:rolleyes:0 -
well the point of my post was to raise the this issue. Its easy to apply for all freebies you can especially when you financially struggle. I have sold a free keyring before and i doubt i would get criticized. In the end I wished I had not ordered it, but I did and that is that. I did what I thought was best - and yes it was a compromise. However, I have not seen anyone else donate to charity and there have been 100's on ebay.
Plus I am not really sure just because they are medical that there is a real issue. if you take food samples/freebies - well many ill people also shop for food. Anyway, as I said, I am not sure.
Still no one yet has been deprived and if it was not for my post it is possible that the people above would not have seen the post................ Have you ever wondered what

Click on the "Experience the Accu Check Nano", wait for it to load (switch the sound off as its quite annoying) and click on ORDER.
It's free to order and I got mine on Friday. Already got it on eBay too, seem to be selling for £10.

totally agree its not there to make a profit on!!
Totally agree on this one - you can't have too many morals to apply and then sell on to make a profit. It's all very well applying for as many freebies as possible but surely there is a need for a little common sense in your approach. Whilst companies offer freebies in order to promote themselves there probably will come a time when such marketing campaigns will be deemed too expensive for the amount of return they are getting and most of this will be down to those applying for any freebie they can, regardless of whether it may be something they would actually benefit from.:mad:0
