    I remember when there were no calculators, at least not worked by electrickery.

    Off topic, but my first calculator was a Prinzsound (Dixons), it's still around somewhere.

    If it's what I'm thinking of, you would just re-route requests to DNS servers from network clients to openDNS, so the only DNS server that the home machines could talk to would be the openDNS ones. That, of course, pre-supposes the router password is secure.
    it doesnt even involve editing router settings, its all done on the client side.

    Yes, I think you're talking about changing client DNS settings to point to a different DNS server. What I described in the post you replied to will prevent that.
