Help! My son can type 'boobs'

nah, just supervise the kid,
i wouldnt let a 7 year old on the pc alone the same way i wouldnt let them play with the kitchen cleaners
I definately agree with the idea of supervising. I'd also say that something like openDNS (which can't be over-ridden if you program it into your router) is a useful supplement to that. I'd also suggest it for the person trying to deal with a 14 y.o.'s net access. Hell I'm 38 with no kids and I use it ;-)If you don't stand for something, you'll fall for anything0 -
Has anyone else been into youtube and typed boobs or am I the only one ??0

If it's what I'm thinking of, you would just re-route requests to DNS servers from network clients to openDNS, so the only DNS server that the home machines could talk to would be the openDNS ones. That, of course, pre-supposes the router password is secure. If you don't stand for something, you'll fall for anything0 -

It _is_ a good line of defence.
It _isn't_ foolproof. Nothing is.
At the end of the day, children going to websites you want them to stay away from (whether by accident or on purpose) is a behavioural problem, and technological solutions can only go so far in stopping those kinds of issues. If you don't stand for something, you'll fall for anything0
