I just overpaid £27.52 which was today's current account balance (sadly).

I'll do another overpayment next week when the rest of my money arrives.

I like this thread though. Would be good to have it as a regular thing so if we slip off the bandwagon, we can be inspired to get back on it. I love reading diaries but don't like doing my own - I bore myself!

We over pay by £100 every month. we struggle to do this but our mortgage will be paid in 10 years.

Hiya! I've just made my first ever mortgage overpayment... for the grand sum of £25! :j:j:j:j:rotfl:

It was money I got through Financialbliss (thanks to FB's mum) for opening a new ING account so MFW generated money! :D I thought it was rather appropriate! :rotfl: I'd been swithering about this challenge all week as I don't really have much to OP before September but I decided I could do this... :j Woo hoo!
    Mortgage free as of 12/08/20!

Waltzed into Northern Rock and handed over a Tenner yesterday. Motivating to see lots of positive stories. Have to do it again in August.

This has motivated me to pay an extra £300 off mortgage today (in addition to usual overpayment). Good to see the balance reducing.

End of August will be my target Cheery. The Saturday of the 29th is my birthday so I'll overpay some then. It won't be £500 this time though, maybe £47 as that's how old I'll be

I know, I had TONS of fun on this mass overpayment day :D

I was thinking, what about doing our next one on 9/9/09. People could overpay like $9.99 or something fun like that. What do you guys think?
