I took out a car insurance policy online (through quidco and included roadside assist:money:) and have a paper certificate. This morning a credit card sized plastic cert came (I've been with this company beofre so expected this) and when I read it it said commuting to and from work was EXCLUDED from the policy :eek:so have had to phone.
Fortunately had a saved e mail in my car folder so could find an 0845 number to ring instead of an 0870 number and have made the change and am awaiting a new certificate. No change to the premium - just hoping it wont impact on my quidco but as there is no change and they have already had the money I'm hoping not.
If th cashback comes through in full it will have cost just under £137 (I have saved a further £60 on assistance too...)
Good job I spotted it before I started commuting in the motor!

Just done some ironing - have a small amount on the line. Rained this am but it's bright and sunny now.
Michelle - take it easy and babysteps until you are in a proper routine...you have a bank holday coming up and only four weeks until half term...that's a long list!
Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY

There is now a link to my 101 list on my profile if anyone is interested :)
Well done on the insurance Valli - like the new piccie

I cleaned the windows in here half an hour ago, and first thing that happened was a bird flew into one. Hmph. Can't do the outsides as we're on the 5th floor and they don't open very wide to stop accidents.
The syrupy cupboard was awful to clean - it's my baking stuff so lots of little jars and pots. Ahhhhh.
And have done 15 minutes filing of emails, I think that counts with the number I've been getting recently.
    1. Get bags ready for the new week
    2. Wash any bedding that has been missed this week
    3. HHStudy again
    4. Put away any winter coats/boots/clothes you won't be wearing (we hope) for a few months
    5. Update the finance spreadsheets.. it should be payday about now for those paid monthly - for this read 'make a finance spreadsheet'
    6. Descale the shower head.. soaking in vinegar overnight is recommended! - never done this before... scary!
    7. food inventory and meal plan!!
    8. binbag dance!
Hold on, how do I actually soak the shower head? While its still attached or do I detatch it somehow?? Eek its the WM drawer problem again... I'll go search for a big orange button that I missed first time :rotfl:

Carol22 - What you could do is fill a plastic bag with vinegar and tie it to the head of the shower while still attached with a rubber band

Turned into a nice sunny afternoon here after the showers at lunchtime. Good job I dried the washing first thing and brought it in in time. Have been a good girl and ironed it all too and also a few things from the ironing basket so the pile is slowly going down. I am making sure I keep up with ironing anything that has been just washed and dried and I am also doing a few extra things to try to get rid of it all. So far its working...slowly...but it is working.

Just sorting out the girls tea then going for a run at 7pm with a friend. Have mapped out a 2 mile and a 3 mile route so we can see what we want to do when we get out. My friend's DD and my DD1 have decided they want to do the mini Great Manchester Run which is the day before my run so I need to sign her up for that tonight and get her out training. It's only 1.8km but I think she'll need to practice running slower so she can do the distance.

ARRRRRR another puddle on the floor...DD2 has just weed on the floor for the third time this afternoon. This potty training lark isn't going too well!
