    Hi all
am all excited because one of my items has 3 watchers and I have answered a question as to whether I would be willing to post to Oz so I looked at her feedback and said yes and quoted two prices to do so...
Flying wise - well I have washed the tea pots (from the evening meal it's tea oop north and I am from oop north) or dinner pots for posh birds like Soappie and Greenbee;)
We are having 'spud' day at work tomorrow where we all bring in something to fill jacket spuds with and bake the spuds in the oven so they are all lovely...salads and home made cake is on the list - I have it easy I'm taking spuds so I am off to get them and will scrub them here...
Am putting a load in tonight to peg out tomorrow as am hoping the fine weather will continue.

Emily - re the order - when I am at work I have a routine and I always do the kitchen and the bathroom Thursday - both floors need mopping so I clean bathroom, then kitchen, then mop kitchen then bathroom. Fridays is the day I strip and change the beds.
have to say though I 'daily' and 'level 3' more than I ever did and my dailies would be

get up and open bedroom windows
    put away any ironing
    iron any washing
(I leave ironing on maiden to air)
Wipe toilet (with cloth kept for that purpose only)
    wipe washbasin (with bathroom sponge)
wash pots, dry and put away; wipe down in kitchen
I usually wash daily in summer as I prefer to dry outside and do that even when I am away at work.
Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY

    Hiya
You've all been busy! I'm not trying to do the lists this week. Lots to sort out so just doing general tidying, cleaning and sorting to keep life going.

Tootles - great to hear you're over half way with your treatment. Massive hugs darling xx

LL - the twinges are lovely aren't they. I don't go many but when I do too much...ouch!

I'm about to start researching for my dad stuff for if he can't see again. I'm going to start with RNIB (is that the right letters or is is that the bird one!!!) but if anyone has any sites they know of i'd appreciate it. The problem is my dad is rather intellectual so your average talking book wouldn't appeal to him! He's more your rare microscopic organism living on a dead squirrel kind of book person - I kid you not...this is going to be difficult!:rotfl:

Mudders - hugs - yes - the RNIB is the place to go (rather than the RSPB). There's lots to help people with impaired sight. Talking books are great - if you think there may be a need for more intellectually challenging talking books, I could add that to my plan B :D

If your Dad uses t'internet, there are applications you can buy that will 'talk' to the internet user. One I heard of a while back is called Jaws - the link is here

    http://www.nanopac.com/JAWS.htm

It 'talks' the screen content to the user. The only reason I heard of it was because I had a blind correspondent get in touch with me and he said he used it - he was doing genealogical research as well!

Biggest thing, I guess, is to get him (and everyone else) to see this as a challenge that you CAN all rise above. It's not the end of the world. It'll involve a bit of a learning curve, but you can all do it. Big hugs xxx

Miss A will reply after her bath ;)

Meant to say last night toots that unfortunately we don't get paid to ring for funerals but to be fair in nigh on 30 years of ringing from memory I have only rung for 3 so it's no great shakes. The only time we do get paid is for weddings and if you work out the hourly rate it's very little as we have to be there before and after the service hence I hate it when brides are late! In fact I was paranoid about being late for our wedding so much so that I arrived 5 minutes early!

Thanks Soappie, that's a huge help. I've just been chatting on the phone to him and he mentioned how he'd miss using the computer. It was great to be able to reassure him that he would still be able to use it!

I've also been through the book catalogue with RNIB (the RSPB one wasn't as good!!!) and there are quite a few 'classics' he'd be happy to re-read (or hear!). I've also got him to agree to change dentists to one in the village instead of the one which is 30 mile round trip and he's very amenable to changing.

My mission is to find a way to help him do anything that he wants to do. We're talking about a man who had flying lessons for his 80th birthday so we will cope. The massive plus is that i've had longer, really nice conversations with him over the last few days and that's something we're both enjoying.

Flying.....getting DH to vacuum and iron! I'm shattered xx
