give new cooker a quick clean!

New cooker being delivered today - found website address in confirmation email yesterday lunchtime to check so I didn't have to phone late last night - "Your product will be delivered on Tuesday 21st April between 12:30 and 16:30." so that gives me a few hours to clean the house in case they see my messy places. Don't you hate that when they insist on relighting the water boiler or checking other appliances? I hope they don't this time cos I like my privacy and can light the flippin water heater myself.
Looking forward to the new cooker, yesterday I even found myself thinking "this is the last time I will cook this on this cooker" and it was like a kind of ritual! Like when I cooked my indian herbs for hair washing, and then I planned to make my favourite meal of Spinach Risotto but got a frozen pizza instead. What a fitting meal for tonight, to celebrate cooking on a new stove! Hopefully all being well I'll stir my Risotto with pride and love :D.
Right, one more game of Midas Solitaire and I will away for a good old house session.

Hugs for anyone in need, have skimmed but no time for long post.

Bit sad because one of the hens was dead on her perch this morning. Not a mark on her and she hadn't been laying so I am guessing natural causes rather than Ben damage or the others picking on her. They are working animals so not that sad but just sad that I didn't even spot she was ill and do something to help her. Not a trapped egg or anything so probably nothing I could have done. She had a happy free range life - what more could a chicken ask for?

Working today so will finish my list later on.

    Morning all

Lovely day again, one load of washing out on the line.

I did the kitchen yesterday and the living room etc. this morning so two stars please Toots :)

Well done to Flylady's DD :)
Hope your Dad is OK Mudbath
Freya is a lovely name :)
Mozzy and Nicki, hope you both start to feel better soon.
Sorry about your hen Hex, but as you say she had a better life than many.
Emily - Pigpen likes to keep us on our toes by changing things round, but I can't cope with that so I stick to the same rooms each day of the week, the original ones when I first came on here. As long as we're doing something, eh? :)

I remembered to book up boiler service for next week, I was supposed to do that yesterday but I forgot.

Waiting for shopping to be delivered now. Hope everyone's OK.

Mudbath - lots of healing vibes for you dad

hex2 - (((hugs))) for your chicky

Flower - congrats to your DD

    ladybird - thanks

nicki & mozzy - get well soon

Emily - I don't think Pigpen wants us to get complacent  but there's no reason you can't do the rooms in the order you want to (like Pollybear). As long as you do up to level 3 in each toots will still give you stars

I've been for a swim, put a load of washing in as the sun is shining, had breakfast so now I really need to get on with my paperwork for this afternoon! (And get another load of laundry done, do my handwashing and tackle the ironing :o)
