Stalker does seem very apt for your situation. You should definitely block this guy through ebay, set up a filter/rule on your email account so that any emails you get from him are delivered straight to trash.
Do you live alone Taloolah? If so, could you get a very well built male friend to come around and hang out at yours for a bit and see if that puts him off?0 -
Ooh, makes me feel uncomfortable reading that it certainly doesn't feel right at all.
How about a very stern and 'final' email to him saying that you appreciate he is trying to run a business but that you do not want any further contact with regards to his products as you now consider it harrassment. Hmm, possibly don't use the word harrassment but tone it down a bit.
Don't sound chatty, don't personalise it just sound business like and see how it goes from there.
As for silent calls, call BT, that's what I did and they apparently put some sort of silent alert on the phone..can't remember the exact details now. They told me next time I had a funny call of any sort to say clearly and firmly, BT are now recording my calls with a view to tracing them for a police report.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Thank you , its good to hear that others feel I am not overreacting. Your responses have confirmed my thoughts that I should do something so I have contacted BT this afternoon and they have blocked withheld numbers from contacting me. If the calls continue there are more options they can discuss with me.
I have sent him an email stating clearly stating that I want no further contact from him.
I dont live alone I live with my son and daughter and my partner (although he is currently serving overseas in the armed forces). I have spoken to my neighbours and explained the situation so they have said they will keep an eyeout.
I have reported the emails to Ebay but I have no confidence that they will do anything. Thank you for your help. Many thanks to the wonderful staff at Birmingham Childrens Hospital caring for my tiny and very poorly grandson who was born at 29 weeks. Thanks to them he is getting a little stronger every day.:A:A:A0 -
Should he arrive again be firm - thank him for his interest but you are not interested - the transaction is closed and you would appriciate no further contact. If necessary, remind him that he is on private property and that should he return the Police will be called.0

i had an ebay stalker too. he was not happy with an item he purchased as he claimed it was fake. he opened a paypal dispute and lost as he couldn't obtain proof that it was fake. he contacted all my previous customers of the same item to tell them they were fake. he left follow up feedback and replies to all feedback he left and received telling people not to buy from me. he started up an ebay id with my name then the word "scam" after it and was listing the same items as me - not for sale - but putting a warning in the listings not to buy from me. he was asking himself questions and replying with my real name and contact details in the listing. i was reporting the listings for everything i could think of, some were being removed, some weren't. I was on the phone to ebay a couple of times a day for half an hour each time.
he was also sending me emails and ebay messages every day telling me to be worried and then stuff like "i'll be seeing you soon" I didn't reply to a single email or message from him but he kept sending them saying stuff like "I know you are reading this" and "I know I am getting under your skin"
I phoned trading standards and asked if it was possible that they could verify my stock as genuine and give me something in writing, as I had invoices from my supplier and my supplier was listed as a stockist on the manufacturers website. Trading standards didn't get back to me.
I wanted to phone the police but didn't think they would take it seriously and my partner also didn't think they would do anything.
In the end I had enough and phoned the police, I reported him for harrassment. A police office came round that afternoon to look at what he had been doing. He went outside and phoned the bloke, he warned him against contacting me and my customers. The policeman said the bloke thought he was doing the right thing by warning other people away from my items, but said that he would stop. There was no further harrassment after that thank god!0
