I for one will be pleased when the Easter holidays are over, I have either picked up a random loner or someone on here is having a laugh at my expense on ebay.

A few days ago I got a ASQ from a newly registered ebay user in youth type languauge basically saying that my stuff was kool and where did I get it from. I thanked him for the message and said that I had enough competiotrs without divulging any info to anyone else.

The next day I got a reply saying he knew he was cheeky but he needed money desperately and he saw my items went very well and thought maybe I was willing to help him out. I responded saying basically the same as I said in my first email, and then blocked him.

Just got another email, I felt it was slightly darker although it might just be that I am paranoid! He said he thinks it's a shame we can't all help each other out and he only wanted my stockist details so he could sell a lot of things very fast and make some money and he hoped i was never in a situation where I needed money. He then went on to say could I at least tell him how much profit I made on each and how much the tax man took and did I have to declare it all? He also wanted to know how much profit I made on post and packing.

Hmm, starting to feel like someone is playing a game now, I had one stalker that found me from a website like this and i will not put up with another.

Sorry you're experiencing problems Soolin. Unfortunately some people are like that. The someone who is e-mailing you saying they hope you are never desperate for money is obviously working on the theory that you will feel sorry for them and give out the details they are so desperate for-unfortunately some people stupidly expect you to give them details of your suppliers. Can't really advise you other than to just ignore them, if they don't get a reaction they will go away-eventually.

I have found on a couple of other forums & websites that while the School Holidays are on there seems to be an increased amount of mischief & unusual requests.
I think you did the right thing by blocking & just ignoring them, hopefully they will have more on their minds next week!

I had another message asking why I had blocked him from bidding and I decided to do some digging. However the first thing I noticed was the user is No longer a registered user. Since I hadn't reported them for anything (I couldn't think of any rules they had broken) I assume they had done soemthing to someone else. Therefore it proves it wasn't just me they were playing with which in turns means I am paranoid.

At least once a week I get a request from someone about to go on "holiday" to the very place I get a slice of my stock asking me where exactly it is.

I simply refer them to https://www.google.com Seems to do the trick.

Ooh honey I've had one of those types asking very similar questions although mine was already a buyer and so fully equipped with my home address and phone number :eek:

So even though i declined all of his requests for help he decided to rock up on my doorstep and ask me in person - scaring the willies out of my 13 yo daughter who was alone in the house at the time. :eek::mad:

Trust your instincts honey - it's not paranoia, it's self preservation! I find I only go wrong when I try to ignore mine.

What's the state of play now? Has he crawled back from whence he came?

As he is NARU'd he can no longer use the ASQ facility on ebay, and I blocked my email address each time I replied to him. never mind, he'll probably go back to school tomorrow.
