i spoke to T-Mobile and they wanted to charge £40.32 to unlock a 8 year old phone thats worth about £20. ridiculous.

I'm trying to help a family member unlock a Nokia C2-02 and wondered if it's possible to do via a code, or if it needs to be done professionally or via a USB cable?
It's presently locked to Virgin Mobile, and the IMEI number is as follows;
359758043451475.
Any advice appreciated.
