I wish I could do that over budget under budget thing - I know i will always spend whatever spare cash is around though! I have managed to wean myself off cards, I'm not sure I will ever wean myself off cash!

  • Feels far enough but I managed to find an old diary of mine and I've come along way financially so if anything il appreciate the ride :-). It's just the actual doing like eb69 says it's giving up the cash one I throw 600+ extra on a card it's gone but if I didn't I would only be delaying the journey of debt freedomness :-) x how are you doing jwill with debt busting?? X

I'm not doing too bad thanks Happy, just reorganising things at the moment. Here's to a big debtbusting 2011!

I'm looking forward to re-reading my diary when I'm debt free, and hopefully it will encourage me never to get like this again!

I've set myself a challenge for paying off £14,000 next year, and have started a new challenge if you want to join me (https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/2923958)

  • Evening, so i have worked myself into a frenzy and on pay day i will be clearing a credit card and shutting it downit may seem extreme but 750 will be cleared, we were aiming to overpay by 600 but i think i can squeeze that extra bit out and thats that then i can close it down... i think if we can pay off as much of our credit as possible and reduce our available credit we may stand a better chance of getting better credit cards with lower intrest rates if that makes sense... our highest intrest rate is 30% the 750 is on a 27% credit card its the lowest balance and it means we can shut one down  roll on pay day and money juggling lol xx

Hope you feel better today Happy.

It will be great to see the back of one credit card, so go for that!

With your siggie, if it is depressing you, get rid of it! I have mine there because it motivates me (as well as depressing me). You could always focus on one debt and see that going down, or just have your challenge figures on there.

You are doing really well though, so keep at it!
