I feel the same sometimes too, my house needs decorating from top to bottom, literally every room needs doing, there's only 3 out of 6 rooms in the house that don't need new flooring, and only the lounge is passable in terms of decor, the kids rooms look old and manky, my room has never been decorated the whole time we've lived here, it still has the crappy lightshade that was here when we moved in..........oh great............now I'm on a downer...........!!!!
ANYWAYS the point I was going to make before I started ranting about how rubbish my own house was, was how about a compromise? Could you use a bit of money each month to do one room? Maybe budget £50 and see what you can get, look in the bargain bins in the DIY shops for wallpaper/borders whatever, or get good quality massive tins of paint and slap it on everywhere.
It will get better, at least you own a house, think of the decorating as an investment......I just rent......so it all feels like a waste of money..........*sigh*

Good afternoon all, i thought i best update the diary even for myself rather than others because i am guilty of diary neglect
tut tut  Anyway im on the big countdown to the new year where things can really start taking some hammering we are just finishing up the wedding payments debt is reducing at a nice pace but could do to be faster but hey ho, i have managed to get rid of 11k since my lbm so i cant complain, next year one of my loans ends in april woo hoo so a nice little 167.37 available for debt payment, then in december my egg loan ends so another 160.20 available, now i did think that i could overpay on my egg to end that loan quicker but when i looked at the intrest id be saving i didnt see any point it would be better paying the excess on a juicy credit card
... well intially we will over pay on my mums credit card because that has a nice low intrest rate that will free up enough cash for us to transfer some of the credit cards over because the intrest will be halfed. My head is constantly full of ideas roll on january i will be fully fresh and renewed to battle on
what an esxciting year i have planned lol
x
I better think of some nice targets that i can tick off

Hey,
After seeing you often on the long haulers thread I thought I would check out your diary. You're so full of energy all the time! I'm a bit like you, I constantly have sums and numbers and ideas running through my head, I never have any energy to do anything with them though!!!
Glad you're all positive at the moment, I find it so up and down this debt busting malarcky. I can switch from positive to negative and back again a hundred times a day!
So, mind if I follow your diary for a pick me up?

Hi your a woman after my own heart one minute I hate the world the next it looks ok it just feels like a ball and chain on the neck does debt. A few crap things have happened and you sort of wish you weren't in this mess so that you could be starting fresh. I can't imagine my diary is fun but if your willing to read il rant all day. Haha we can do this, I change my debt plan every day I don't know why I just feel like I'm doing something if I play with the numbers you know what I mean my oh thinks I'm crazy. Some days we argue like mad hating the fact we have this debt then we fall about laughing thinking ok we have this debt but someone out there also has debt they don't know about so really were the lucky ones? Do you have a diary? XI AM A MONEY MAGNET, THEY ARE MAKING MORE MONEY FOR ME AS WE SPEAK:pMIKES MOB, DFW NERD 1071, DFW LHS 132!MIRACLES HAPPEN I'VE SEEN IT WITH MY OWN EYES. I just started one! I've been on the forums for a while but feel like I've slowed up. Its called 'room for a little one with a huge debt'.
A fresh start would be good. And I totally rearrange my plan all the time. My desk is littered with scraps of paper with calculations on it. Insane really as most months you can't do anything different, but does make me feel like I have a bit of control.
My OH and I rarely argue over it, but he gets very very down about it, and struggles with being positive. Its a daily uphill climb. But you're right, others dont' appreciate the little things, or the important things, and when the DFD eventually comes, we will be soooooooooooooo happy!0 -
I will subscribe to it I don't know how oldyou are I'm 25 so my amount feels ridiculous at my age I don't know how it got so big it grates on you all the time I don't look at the credit cards owing because I get so angry at the intrest rates and more so at the companys for not giving a little slack off with the apr il be debt free before 30 and il be hopefully never in such debt again grrr x off to find diary xI AM A MONEY MAGNET, THEY ARE MAKING MORE MONEY FOR ME AS WE SPEAK:pMIKES MOB, DFW NERD 1071, DFW LHS 132!MIRACLES HAPPEN I'VE SEEN IT WITH MY OWN EYES. I'm 29, about to turn 30. I never thought I would be in this situation through my 20s. Never being able to go out and have fun, stress of it all. I promise to myself and my OH that our 30s will be more fun. Not the first couple of years, but my main motivation is making him more carefree and not feeling so goddamn old all the time. Thanks for the note on my diary, I shall try my best to keep up with it!0

Good afternoon, i have just been reorganising the debts and seeing what the figures are and i have shaved 13,389.92 off so far making my total debt £63850.77....anyhow my oh is doing really well at the moment with work with his own business and has been offered some extra hours with a mate that will accumulate an average of 200-300 per week on top of our wages so an estimate of 800-1200 extra per month and you guessed it...it will be deducting the numbers woo woo:D I am now going off to play like a geek with my spreadsheet and see what the potential difference will make to our dfd wooooooooo

Wow, that all sounds great! Well done on the extra cash coming in. Your DFD will be edging ever sooner.
Enjoy the geekness and let us know what the spreadsheet says!
