I'm about to move from them to Npower. I know Martin's advice is to wait until all companies have announced there price rises, but Npower have already announced theirs and (for me) their prices after the increase are cheaper than Powergen's before the increase

    Any one else?

Edit: The BBC website says Npower have increased their prices but I read someone on here saying they have not yet increased thier online tariffs - can anyone confirm this?

About to move to Equigas, tho was waiting for their price increase, even if 22% will be £40 better orf than with Powergen Age Concern. Also simpler bills.

I've never heard of Equigas so I checked out their site to-day.

I put in my last years Gas and Electricity usage and Equigas quoted me £123 more than I'm going to pay with Staywarm (and Staywarm is unlimited use of course).

Using Uswitch as the comparison method, the price for the same usage being billed by Powergen Age Concern worked out at £72 more than Staywarm, so I'm not sure quite how you came to arrive at your saving!!

They appear to be far more ethical and do not have overpaid fat cats.

Ebico are cheaper for low users. If you are an upper medium or high user Ebico (equigas/power) will become increasing dearer.

Im also with Powergen Online, Im in London. I havent received any emails from them yet, but would have expected to by now if the prices go up tomorrow  .Ive sent my meter reads.
I think I'll switch soon, but I have no idea who to switch to, when I looked into it a couple of moths ago the comparison sites seemed to have different companies on from each other? I'll probably wait a bit to see what happens.

Based on 1523 kwH Electric and 13494 kwH for Gas...Eastern area....Monthly direct debit...Age Concern pre Dec 05 contract, noticed they have withdrawn it.... a lot of providers are cheaper now than Powergen. As Martin says ..we need a level playing field..Interesting what you say. Will look into it more...Thank you for the alert. Readings taken today will be at todays price.

I will be reading my meters tomorrow and I would have thought that they would have emailed the new prices and the date they start from by now.
Previous times that they have increased prices they have always given plenty of notice and even said that your free to move elsewhere but would like to keep your custom by offering free lightbulbs! ! !

Personally I won`t change to anyone else for the time being and maybe not at all.
One puts them up they all put them up.
The only people making a lot of money out of this chaos is the search companies that keep telling you how much money can be saved by switching to X,Yor Z.
They get paid a fat fee for everyone that does switch.
