Now that you've been unemployed for 3 months, you'll be expected to step up your applications by looking over a wider employment and geographical area.
I know that things are difficult at the moment and jobs are scarce but I can't believe that there have only been 7 retail/labouring/kitchen/bar/care jobs within travelling diistance during this period.
I appreciate that things are tight on jobseekers but I can't see that you'd be any better off by moving in with your parents as you'll still have your food and share of your bills to pay. It might make more sense to go down this road if you get a low paid job as you can pay a reasonable amount for your keep and still have money in your pocket.
all you have to do is write on the diary that you have applied, what you actually apply for does not need to be a reflection of that to satisfy JCP0 -
LOL, Mr ding Dong knows how to work the system!!!0

Well, we could have a system where wealth was spread equally, and rather than some people working 60 hours a week for sweet FA, whilst others earn millions in bonus and share options for doing very little, rather than that we had a system where nobody was required to more than maybe 3 days-15 hours a week, but everyone did it.
We could even spend your taxes on caring for our nations elderly, rather than using it to bomb Iraqi families like we did , wouldn't that be a change!0 -
lol, Dr Ding Dong, well if we all pulled together as a nation, then you just never know!!! perhaps in your spare time, you could help out with our elderly. Anyway good luck with whatever you decide to do!!!0

Maybe the MP's fiddling their expenses could set an example for us lowly benefits people to follow

I get a job in a warehouse, i earn minimum wage, i then take home £170 after tax, i pay my £90 a week rent, the car tax, insurance, gas, electric, tv license, food, water rates, i am left with minus every week, do you not understand, i am not lazy, never have been, i will take any job IF it meets my needs, i am not choosy, picky, i will not go thorugh my one life on this earth struggling to make ends meet, as you are obviously so well off, i hope this situation never happens to you, becasue it is not nice.
Ok, first off, you've got the bills to pay whether from your £62 a week dole or from your £170 a week minimum wage job. You'd also be likely to get something (maybe £20) towards the rent.
By my reckoning without anything towards the rent you'd still be £16 a week better off, with £20 towards it you'd be £36 a week better. You'll also be likely to get higher wage rises than benefit rises, in the long term especially.
Also, if you want a higher paying job, the best way to get one is to start with a lower paying job, especially if you can't get the jobs which you say need certain qualifications.
It all comes down to a choice:
1. Keep getting £62 a week for the next 20 years, waiting for the job that suits you OR
2. Get a job, any job, move up or sideways until you find what you like.
Employers generally like people who work more than people who don't.0
