Urgh, it's SO frustrating! It's not like I live in the back of beyond, but no one other than Tesco will deliver to my postcode! There's a Waitrose superstore not 5 minutes drive from me, but do they deliver? Do they heck! Oooh, I could... I just could.... arghhhhh!

I would take this further and write to head office, I don't think a tenner begrudging given to is in anyway compensation. Yes money isn't everything, had they not had such a attitude with you and called you first thing this morning and apoligise and and perhaps a tenner then it would of been okay, but its the attitude that would get up my back up.

    Absolutely!

Knew I shouldnt have read this post, wine delivery of mine never turned up from MONDAY.
Anyone any better ways of contacting h/o via e-mail other than via web-site?
  • Hi freddie,

Do you know why? Have they rang you?

No I only have the email via website.

Right, well, just got off the phone with their Home Shopping Manager; couldn't have a go at her as she was very nice and even offered to bring my shopping over in her own car if she couldn't find a driver coming my way!

She didn't say why the order had been cancelled, but she did say the reason I wasn't contacted was becuase they were phoning my old house in Milton Keynes! It seems that, despite my entering my new phone number in the box provided, the old number was on their system. Go figure!

Sooo, she's refunded the delivery cost (I should think so too!) and they'll deliver today between 1600-1800. Fingers crossed for that then! I didn't bother asking for any money off the goods as she was helpful and I wasn't desperate for anything I ordered...except the beer! ;)

I'll keep you updated as to wether or not it arrives today!

Pot, I'm glad you're feeling more upto it today. I can sympathise with you, it's so frustrating! Don't really know what to advise re the letter. I'm usualy quite good at letter writing, but only when I'm actually doing it! Just tell them, matter of factly, that you're unhappy with the service you received on this occassion and you feel that they didn't do all they could have done to correct the situation. Mention the HSM's attitude and say you didn't expect this when phoning with a complaint. I always try and write a letter like a lawyer; blunt and to the point! Good luck with it!

Freddie, I think this thread's jinxed you know! Have you phoned them? I don't know of an e-mail address. Was there nothing on your invoice?
  • Hi fenris,

Fingers crossed for you today. I actually went to Morrisons yesterday afternoon, not been for about a year, and had forgotten how really good it was, spent about £30 less, and I am sure I have got everything I needed.

Tescos are a firm no-go for me as from now! Just wish Morrisons did home shopping!

    love

I honestly don't blame you Pot! I had a look 'round last night and no other store delivers to me, so I'm stuck with Tesco until I get a new car! As I say, it's a !!!!!! because Waitrose is just down the road, but I can't get to it as it's just off the A47 and there's no way I know of to walk to it. Mind you, it'd take me the best part of an hour to walk that far! I might resort to a taxi if Tesco muck up again!

My dad shops in Morrisons all the time; he swears by it. I went there once when I lived in MK but didn't find it that good. I guess it because I'm so used to Sainsbugs as it was 10 minutes walk from my house! Still, I'm glad you've got all you need now. Have you got your car back now? Bet it's a relief?!

Well, this is fun! Got my delivery at 1630, or there abouts. Wasn't until I'd unpacked everything that I suddenly realised I was missing a case of beer! You'd think I'd have noticed not humping it into the kitchen, but no! On the other hand, you'd have thought the driver would have noticed not humping it to my front door! lol! Phoned CS and they're trying to track the driver down as I type. He'll be back at the store byt the time they find him and they'll have to flamin' redeliver it tomorrow! Arghhh!
