Back in September I was helping a young couple I know find a flat to rent here in Glasgow...I used gumtree a lot and that's where I ended up finding them a place. Just recently I had occasion to be on gumtree (Glasgow) again, I took a quick look at the rentals page to have a nosey and two things struck me....1. There was a huge amount more places for rent for each day's listing tham back in September (double, maybe triple)....and 2. The asking rents seemed to be at EXACTLY the same level as before on a like-for-like basis.
I agree that some agencies/landlords etc seem to be living in a different dimension to the rest of us.0 -
I don't mind the Monty Python style jokes. It's using certain terms or words in everyday sentences I'm not fond of. This may be from having spent a number of years living in Scandinavia where such things are considered worse than the (translated) traditional English swear words.0

F (4 letters), S (4 letters), C (4 letters). The English swear words are usually short.
I will avoid listing the foreign swear words, they're not for this public forum.:D

Swearing ? Walk down any High Street and you'll here this language spoken all the time.0 -
Here 2-bed flats are 700-900 and a room in a shared house is 300-500.
We have a 1-bed house for 635, I sometimes check on Rightmove to see how it compares to others and it is still almost the cheapest in town0 -
