I have some money off coupons for Birds Eye and Felix Roasted - will supermarkets take these?
if you are buying a birds eye/felix roasted item then yes anywhere will accept them but if your not buying the item then im not sure who will accept them but i know sainsburys will only accept coupons for which you have bought the item0 -
They need to have a big sign up about this sort of thing. Mind you they had signs up about the old misprice policy and never stuck to it!0

Oh so is that a "Tesco lie" as the woman at the help desk said it to me, i do find it hard to believe lol as they would have needed a huge wad of coupons and omg how embarrassing would it be standing at the till
My Tesco did happily accept all kinds of coupons before this apparent event, i went to the till with £10.00 once and was so chuffed it got me that much off my bill.......i managed to get about 2 months of using coupons before they stopped itwas really good to cut the weekly shop down i must admit.

No, no, they really don't.The coupon policy would soon be unsustainable if every customer used coupons!
The fact is, for the unsure posters above, that the version posted above by Mouschka IS the national policy and Tesco DO accept coupons if you don't buy the product. To anyone whose store doesn't allow coupons, I wonder why you haven't taken it higher?
I had to write to my local Store manager 2 years ago, after suffering terrible accusatory treatment by one or two Supervisors who didn't have a clue about the policy. I was completely fed up with being marched off to the CS desk and Managers gathering around me, even though I carried a copy of the actual policy and could prove what I was saying to them. I simply carried a copy of the policy as posted on the first page of the printable coupons sticky thread - it is the real thing and there's no reason why customers shouldn't know it.
After receiving my letter (which was not worded as a complaint BTW) the SM told the Supervisors that he had checked and I was right. Since then, the policy was followed -and still is. Some of the staff hated me I'm sure (the grouchy Supervisors because I had gone over their heads) but many, many more of them congratulated me on standing my ground as it meant THEY could now use their coupons too!
BTW, to sylvester, yes, if you look at the 'coupons as cash' thread you will find that only Waitrose or Tesco should take your money off coupons for Birds Eye and Felix Roasted (as long as they are in date and they don't state another Supermarket in the t&cs). You don't have to buy the products but best to choose a large store as most smaller stores may not have come across a couponer before (so it could be more hassle for you).

People are forgetting tesco arnt being generous by letting people use coupons they actually make money on them ranging from 1p up to 10p a coupon from the manufacturer .... may not seem a lot but when u add the millions they will get will add upp 2 a nice tidy sum for them......0

I'm sure I read a newspaper article a few weeks ago that some manufacturers were losing loads of money because of shops accepting coupons when not selling the products.
I think they were predicting less coupons being available and less acceptence of them. After all nothing is for free, someone somewhere is losing the 50p or whatever that we are saving !
It's a shame as I have loads of coupons waiting but haven't been able to get to Tesco's as I've been unwell for a couple of months.Decluttering, 20 mins / day Jan 2024 2/20 -

The problem seems to be where people use out of date coupons at the self scanner and Tesco cannot get the money back. Or people who photocopy the barcode, again Tesco does not get the money back and they then seal up the self scanner coupon hole and make it difficult for the rest of us. Or people stuff loads of store specific vocuhers, like the £2 Turkey ones for Morrison's last year which My Tesco says they got loads of them in the self scanner.I want to be credit card and loan free by Christmas 20100
