It's not half as tidy as that normally, that is it off the sellers particulars when we went to view itbehind the person taking photo is another set of cupboards that you can just see start of, and the FF, and dining room which is my playroom.
Looking at 44 pages of other peoples kitchens has nearly cured my insomnia right now!!Trying very hard to be frugal and OS - just plodding on and doing my best!

I don't think that Flickr site has ever had so many hits in such a short space of time! A few OS-ers have had a look at my kitchen before and after!!0

I have finally got around to taking some photo of my kitchen!
we moved here in october and now we are settled in im starting to shuffle things and add nick nacks to make it 'mine'.
Im learning to use an aga, and want to cook things on the inglenook fireplace before the weather warms up and we wont be lighting it.
Im wanting to learn the best way to maintain the wooden worktops and cupboard - if anyone has any handy tips.
The kitchen is pretty much exactly how it was when we moved in - we happened to have baby blue kitchen pieces in our last home so when we found this and saw the curtains, beams and island we were amazed as our stuff matched!

I have the same fridge as you! Maintaining wood can take abit of effort but is worth it - esp if you have the aga giving out heat all the time I imagine it could cause the wood to dry and crack. Regular application of oil such as danish oil will help keep you work tops sealed. if they are looking a bit tired it might be worth sanding them down and building up a good coaing of 4-6 layers of oil.People seem not to see that their opinion of the world is also a confession of character.

I finally managed to get a better picture on my camera this time.
Here's my kitchen 2 years on from the original one I posted
We've made the island with storage below it, changed all the cupboard doors and repainted.
Look a lot nicer now I think and feels more homely.
Only down side is that we picked mosaic tiles for the island and I can't use it to bake on as the tiles are uneven so I have to use a chopping board to do all my rolling out etc.
You can see my shinty bm sitting over on the bench, used daily and my best ever kitchen gadget
Another update from March 2008 to this in 2009:
We have redecorated the papered section of the kitchen dining room and have got a new table, chairs and sideboard.
I've also now got a panny living on my bench0 -

Here are some pics of mine. It's still a work in progress, hence the unfinished painted walls.
Before:
After:
We freecycled the old units and bought Ikea units and worktops.
It was the first time I'd got to design my kitchen, always used inherited kitchens before, so it was fun.0 -
Lovely to see this thread up and running again.I posted pics last year but photobucket has been giving me some problems so they're not showing now.
I will take some pics soon and post as my kitchen is being replaced in April by my housing association.I've been able to pic every aspect of details from kitchen units, tiles floor tiles and cupboard handles so can't wait to see it all come together.
Keep posting pics though as i need inspirationlost my way but now I'm back ! roll on 2013
