This is a kitchen to aspire to, even if I say so myself. It just needs a bit of tweaking here and there, but when I'm finished it will look great. Yes, it really is mine!0

Pawpurrs I love your kitchen it reminds me of my Grandmother's when I was growing up. I can almost smell the faint whiff of woodsmoke and hear the crackle of a fire in the grate and gentle tick tock of a clock. It's the kind of effortless chic I can never pull off. I've loved looking at all the kitchens but particuularly like that country mixed style. Probably because I know I shall never have a kitchen like that and if I did I would ruin it by having a darn good tidy up and trying to match everything up in symetrical lines. I guess my kitchen falls into the clean lines and clinical category. Believe me plenty of cooking does go one there but I doubled the number of cupboards when I designed it so I could keep the uncluttered look.
Black-Saturn don't diss your kitchen it looks like a place where life is lived, laughed over, cried about and served up a place of real substance not window dressing, of all the kitchens I put it firmly in the true OS category. I'd pop round for tea anyday (I'd bring 4 other MATH's too of course);)Life's a beach! Take your shoes off and feel the sand between your toes.0 -
black-saturn wrote:Well Willenhall is just part of it. You have to pick a UK destination to concentrate on all through the course and learn everything you can about it. I'm doing the black country as thats where I am from and Willenhall is part of that.
Where abouts in the Black Country are you from Black Saturn, I was born and bred in Portobello/Willenhalland still here! I am also intending to stay here once I qualify and give something back to such a great community.

pic 1: The front looks bare. Plant a few polyanthus in tubs to go either side of the front door to brighten it up.
pic 2: Nice kitchen, but the back wall looks bare. Perhaps you either hang a brighter clock or a picture to break the wall up?
pic 4: Garden looks bare. Maybe some more tubs of polyanthus or spring bulbs to put a bit colour in. If you plant tubs up, you can always take them with you when you move
The other rooms look really nice though
Thanks for the advice...I have already put a nice pot with a plant in it next to the front door. I was going to go and get a hanging basket today but the snow put me off! The garden at the front (which you can only just see) has alot of plants in it and they have lights in them too. The back garden does look bare we only did it last year (only moved in in august) so that also needs plants. The kitchen picture is actually quite bad but it is very small0
