Add £2.15 to your start prices then to cover the P&P as well as the increased fees.

Rumours on powersellersunite that the June requirement for a dispatch time on listing will be accompanied by Ebay refunding buyers if they reckon the item doesn't get there quick enough.

B******* to that. Where's the exit?

Ebid are busy running a rather successful campaign in the states at the moment.
As for the lack of posts on their forum, this can be seen as a sign of satisfaction. People tend to post on forums when they are agitated by something, hence all the postings about Ebay on this, and other websites.

So having introduced free listings <99p (which I'm loving), they now bring in a rule that would make it madness to start at 99p in these categories.

I guess the list of categories will continue to expand - hopefully they may increase the free listing threshold as some form of compensation.

This just screams out GREED to me, Ebay are basically thinking of money in their own pocket and not a care for its customers or as they probably see "little people" who are clearing out odds and sods/unfitting clothing etc, so much for providing a service..... I can't beleive they would do this no matter how sugarcoated they think it seems!

I will be on a mission to list all of my left over stuff by June and not bothering again.. they willl soon see the mistake they made, I hope everyone boycotts them and they lose business... unless it is their plan to phase out certain catergories.... as Clothing is probably a pain due to authenticity ect.. I think they just cant be bothered with all the hassle, well thats how it makes them look!

Sorry, rant over haha.... feel so much better :-)

I'm gonna get all my stuff on ebay now and be done with them:(
I noticed that ebid have halved their lifetime membership to £49, so no more fvf etc. Might be enough to tempt some to go over to them:)

I've managed to sell quite a lot of 'stuff' (see tat) with the free 99p start. Doesn't always sell first time, can take about 3 attempts, but it is selling nonetheless. To start at a price higher than 99p and to keep on paying listing fees when the items don't sell straight away is pointless.

i had a massive clear out of loft etc, ive also lost nearly 2 stone and dropped 2-3 dress sizes since xmas so ive got a whole wardrobes worth of clothing to list and i will def be starting it all at 99p so ebay cant get listing fees off me and putting it all on in the next month so by June its all gone and i wont use ebay unless i really have to.

I have found play.com ideal for selling games and books and i get more for my money there even with the postage being covered by the cost of the goods.

    Ditto.

Fortunately, my usual stuff isn't covered in these categories (yet).

I can't be bothered with selling clothes - seems to be a minefield looking at some posts on here, so they go to charity.

I do the odd video game /computer bit that I'm finished with, but they can go to Amazon and/or Playtrade from June.
