  • Hello all
It's my birthday so sparkling brightly :j
    Still have long list though including;

:jdoing at least two hours writing nasty report to catch up with myself
:jget all camping stuff out and clean ready for first foray
:jgo to bank and withdraw change needed for various things for next 4 weeks and bag it all ready
:jcontinue with hokey cokey - when will it end?
:jkeep fingers crossed for new BT going through
:jclean and tidy everywhere ( bit vague that one - living in a pit at the moment)
:jlots more I'm sure but if I manged these I'd be winning

Going to log off now and FOCUS!
    BBL
    Belle
    x

PS Pips mum, when mine were tiny we were really, really strapped for cash
so I know how hard it is. Still worry about money now but not like then when finding 20p was a cause for celebration :rotfl:. You do want everything to be lovely for your babies, but honestly, with all the love you give him he'll want for nothing!
    PS Grrrr to nasty lodger
    Getting there...slowly! :D

    GC : must do better
    NSD: very rare

No matter how slow I go I am lapping everyone on the couch.

    Morning All,
Pips mum I do hope you can get your bill spread Good Luck. That should ease things.

And *think* about taking Lodger to the small claims court - yes there might be a fee (It's a long time since I did this, and my company paid about £35-£50 each time for car repair non-payers at the time) but not only will it make you feel pro-active it will wipe the smug-thieving-smile off his face and make it harder for him to find alternative accomodation (He's not still living with you?) As far as I can remember it is only a matter of form filling. PM me if you want me to get my instructions dug out.

So still feeling blue today (hence wanting to pick up Pipsmums fight for her :o) but trying to stay positive. I will:
    • packed lunch (leftover risotto - YUM)
    • store cupboard supper (ham peas & pasta)
    • washing on at 30 and will be line dried
    • planted herbs last night :D will sow some more seeds tonight
    • joined Shell drivers club to get MORE air miles for visiting Popeye - Shell are consistently the cheapest fuel round here  (93p Fay :rotfl:)
    • I've sorted some stuff ready to e-bay.
    • scratch'n'click
    • must do on-line banking, it's going to be difficult this month, oh to find out that I've already counted something.......:rotfl:
    Have a good day everybody.

Edit to say Happy Birthday YB:bdaycake:

Pip's mum - It might be worth taking him to SCC - even if he pays you back a £10 a week it is better than getting nothing back. What a nightmare. It makes me thankful for having a good, if a little weird, lodger.

Not so much small and it has involved a cost to me (I will claim back from the business), I have negotiated a quarter page ad in a magazine down from silly money to more acceptable money - the ad should bring me customers:j

Off to see if I can pick up a mystery shop before I go to town.

    Morning all!
Hugs to all that could do with them - don't let the b*ggers get you down!

Today is just a boring day at work so not a very exciting list I'm afraid....
    • Had brekkie at home (new scrummy cereal with nuts and stuff in )
    • Brought leftovers to work for lunch

    • Walk dog for free exercise (one down two to go)
    • Check banks
    • Transfer money that FIL gave me to pay for wedding photographer to "holding account" so I don't spend it!
    • Do work expenses - should get a cheque tomorrow
    • Charge phone at work
    • Check phone bill
    • Try not to put petrol in until the weekend
    • Do shopping list for weekend (meal plan done)
    • Make something for lunch tomorrow at work

Thanks everyone for the support and good advice
Oooooh yes it would be nice to wipe the smug look off his face, the bit that really annoys me is that he WAS once a friend and I never imagined he would be like this.

Result on the Eon front, they have spread it out over 4 months so will cost me £40 p/m.

    Have a lovely Birthday YB:bdaycake:

Pip's Mum - was the bill in his name? If so, he should be paying it - not you!

    Morning all :j

Happy Birthday to YB, and commiserations to Pips Mum re the lodger. I would agree with those who suggest taking him to small claims court - even if you don't get the money, he will have a ccj against him which will make life less convenient for him in the future!

    Today I have / will:

Checked online banking (done, don't like the look of the joint account - OH has been off work this week and spending like mad ) Good job he is back at work on Monday :D

Sorted out OH's car insurance renewal through Quidco saving £50 on the old company's renewal quote and all being well, getting an additional £28 cashback from Quidco :D (done)

Seen to animals and seedlings (done)

HM meals - OH's fish that he caught yesterday for supper, with broccoli from the garden - v. healthy :D

Washing at 30 degrees and dry outside as it is not raining today :j

    Walk dogs for free exercise

Prepare bathroom floor for painting (I did say I would do this earlier this week :o)

That's me for today I think.

Have a nice day everyone :hello:
