  • Hey everyone,

    Hoping for a no spend day today & tomorrow. Had one yesterday and Monday too.

    Living to this £20 a week budget is really hard - I spent £8 on Saturday, then got a £2 coin so that went in the tin, then bought a post office stamp (am saving up for my car tax on 31 August), then got ANOTHER £2 coin when posting eBay parcels (comes out of a different account so don't count this in my £20 a week) so had to buy this off myself (does that make sense?) and now have £3 left - only plans are to go to meet a friend on Friday after work so hoping for cheap glass of wine in old man's pub!

    Sorry this was a bit rambly!

    P.S. This was copied from loubie_lou's thread - there are two for today
    MBNA = £4,000 / Next = £925 (approx. tbc on 19/8)
    Tesco = £2,910.11 / Smile overdraft = £500
    Bank of Scotland = £2,782.83
  • Currently ... 2 pound 50 to get the tube from home to work (on Oyster pay as you go card), nothing for lunch (sneeked into a training room and got free sarnies)... however, going to pub after work.. so I expect 10 quid will go there quickly. Then another 2.50 to get home. Doh, 15 pound day.

    Today was going to be a no spend. Made my lunch, remembered to put it in my bag.............motorbike didn't start. Called out the roadside recovery people, who took it to garage. Ignition coil had snapped, so....£55.25 :mad:

    picking bike up tomorrow lunchtime so will also have to get bus in the morning to work. Mum is going to give me a lift to garage at lunch :T

    Am also considering investing in a slow cooker - for longer term savings on food budget, so £15-20 ish??

    Well silly me, I let 2 library books go 2 days overdue, so that was a 50p fine :mad:

    But then I got myself the Radio Times (95p) and Smarties (39p). So I now have a tube to start collecting my 20 pences for the 20p Savers Club and 20p is in there already! :T

    So £1.84 isn't too bad really!
