    I think it is time to send it to the great scrap yard in the sky.It's fair to say that if your wife has had it from new,it would seem she's had her money's worth out of it.

    Government are expected to announce a 'scrappage fee' shortly whereby you get an amount of a new car if you scrap your old one.I think in Germany its £2k.Wait till BUDGET next week.
  • Any time I've had a car with a blowing exhaust, it has been noted that the emissions test cannot be done due to the exhaust fault.

    Oh they will still do the emissions test, as it still may pass the test - it will probably fail tho .. :o

    Don't think they've announced the details yet, the German scheme gives the same sort of money if you scrap a car that is 9+ and buy one that is less than a year old, don’t think there are limits on what you buy as long as it is less than a year old
