Hi honey
Am getting there thanks babe.
Remember me posting up about my son got stopped for going over the speed limit, well originally the 2 officers said the offer of a speed awareness course would be more appropriate, so with that he did not receive at the time any fixed penalty notices and said to wait for the letter to arrive within 28 days of the course.
The letter arrived and they are now saying that when he was stopped he was issued with the fixed penalty notice and he does not meet the criteria for the course and has to have 3 points and pay £60.
I am not amused because he did not even receive the above and now this, they should have known there and then if he would not be eligible (due to excessive speed)!.
He knows he has done wrong but even their speed gun at the time did not have the same reading as my son's, they said it was lots higher and yet there was only another car on the road going passed at the time, just before my son's it was a porsche and i think it was the speed of that car and not my son's.
He was so willing to accept the course, just like he told them when he was pulled over, so I am getting some advice on this and my nephew who works for traffic for the force should be getting back to me soon.
I will be back and posting now and again, but the concentration is not good at the moment.
Hope your all okay folks, and keeping well xxxxxxx:A:A:AThe one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -

Hi honey
And thank you. x:A
I have had some advice on this and they should not have gone back on the original offer of the speed awareness course, as we have it all here in writing.
However, law though is the law and i do think a speed course is essential, and he should be doing this, alternative punishment to the Fixed penalty, it will be an eye opener.
Yes too right we worry, and i know he has behaved since he been driving for a few years and have been driving practically all over the UK and up to now no problems. Such a shame.
Hope all well with you sweetie xxxx:A:AThe one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -

Im not 100% about the tax payment but it would have had to have been paid by yourself or by them but just make sure it states they have made this payment of tax in your letter.;)
I would also check in your offer letter to what date they calculated interest too and then give them a call for each full month over their calculations as you are due this too
Thank you fella for your great advice, we will know more when the breakdown letter finally arrives:money::money:xx0 -
Yoohoo
tax can be deducted at source, make sure the cmc dont take a % of this tax you paid, you have not got this money HMRC have,if the company kicks up a stink tell them you will report them to these
http://www.justice.gov.uk/global/contacts/claims-management-regulation/index.htm
Dont give the company anymore than you have too,ask them for a breakdown of their charge to make sure they are not robbing you, they wont be allowed to take a % of any money that was taxed.
Thank you hunny...i wish to god, we had never went with them but never knew about this fab site back then...i have done all the leg work, but hey-ho, no, i thought that, as they will want as much as possible wont they !
Thanks for your help amersall:) xx
