    Hi Di,
Yep, about 2 miles from where your son went to Uni, my son went there too. The job market around these parts are nearly non-existant, aren't they. My son passed to join Gwent Police but due to the recession and cuts in budgets they are only taking a fraction on, he lost out. He has a job as a porter in the Heath Hospital, but he is so miserable because he thinks his Law degree is now a waste. I tell him he's lucky he has a job and something will come along one day, but you know what it's like when your dreams are taken from you. Sorry for the moan but I really do hope Hubby is successful and your worries will soon be over.

    Hi Karen
That's right I remember you telling me now lol.

Yes your right about the job market, its horrendous, not a lot about, or everyone is fighting for the same job.
In regards of the Gwent Police, your son done really well, I do hope they pick up very soon and take your son on then.
My sister Debs and my nephew Steve works for the Gwent Police office based, been there a few years now, because my son also asked them to look out for vacancies within, but like you said, there are lots of cutbacks right now.
Good one on your son though, :T:T, I expect he is enjoying it very much and still a hardworking and rewarding job.;)

I know what your son means as well, and do not worry about the moans lol, your not moaning......:D, its just a difficult time and your son has worked very hard with his law bless him.

I will let you know if I hear of the Gwent Police picking up.;)XXX

Weather is so changable today isn't it, in Wales?

Lol, I know, it's different from the back window to the front!!!!

Thanx for that, I didn't mean to sound so ungrateful. He does enjoy it mostly, but like everything in this life there are drawbacks and I suppose if you're not doing what you really want to then they are magnified. He really enjoys his other job tho, a steward at the Stadium. No freebies for Mam n Dad tho, boo hoo.

    Hi Karen

You do not sound ungrateful lol :D;):A.
We all want best for our children and always want them to do better than us.
Yeah there are drawbacks alright, like the interview my hubby attended last week, he said he doesn't hold much hope, they want 14 but interviewed over treble that amount, and hubby thinks most of them may have been local to the job as well, but I told him he has just as much chance as everyone else.;)

I will be seeing my sister sometime over the next few days, I shall ask if its picking up yet for you.;)XXX

I appreciate that but his 'pass' has run out now, he would have to apply again and none are recruitng at the mo, not even the Met.

Not a problem, shame he would have to re-apply again.
But I'm sure it will all happen all in good time.;)

It is and with the new graduates and school leavers coming into play it's only going to get worse.
Everything else I was going to put on the end reminds me of a song eg The only way is up and Things can only get better.
At least I wasn't thinking of 'I'm working on the chain gang' so thank the Lord for small mercies.

It's that time of year again, comes round so quickly doesn't it?

My youngest does not go to school anymore, he has home education still, due to some issues that went on, as he is special needs as well.
He is doing okay though, am lucky that my uncle is a tutor, he has been fantastic with him.

My oldest does not agree though, but even the school admitted it was probably the best option for him, due to his anxieties as well, he used to hide and the staff would be looking everywhere for him, but he cannot cope with crowds either unfortunately, he finds it all too much.

Hey I like those songs lol :D

    Hi folks

    Hope all are well.;)

Golly it didn't half throw down last night......., just outside of our houses we have these very tall trees, I thought they were going to come down, very scary.

Anyway, here's hoping that my hubby will hear something in regards of that job this week.

I was researching the company online last night, they are expanding big time and have something like 4million investment, so they are also opening another new unit by late this year as well, fingers crossed.;)
Also they are taking on another lot later in the year.

    Will let you know.XXX
