    An update on my dad.

Since his GP have reduced his meds, he seems more with it.:T

However, he has to have close monitoring because the meds they removed or reduced of doseage are for his heart probs and anerysms etc.

Anyway, do you remember a few EMI care homes had to be chosen when dad was in the unit?

Well there was 2 of them chosen and it worked out there was only a spare bed in the 2nd choice.

As its been confirmed that even though dad seems to be improving medically, he have not been settling very well, the first choice Care home rang my sister yesterday to say there is now a bed for dad.

So dad is being moved in the middle of the week this coming week, its more for dad, as it has lovely orchard gardens, and more like a house and not nursing home sort of thing,
Dad also has 3 of his friends there and more or less his age too.

Its a shame he is being moved again, because this can cause them to unsettle but the unit had to let him go, it was their policy of when the next bed had came up.
Its also a shame this did not come up the first time, but still its lovely and we feel dad would be happier there.

Not sure If I'm supposed to post the link of the home up though (so please remove or let me know otherwise, thank you), here is the CH dad will be going into:

    Fingers crossed.

    Hope all are well.;)XXXXXXXXX

    Hiya Max, and thank you.:A

Yes it is a shame and that this one did not come up the first time.

Its about the same distance as the other one, from me about 4-5 mile, but nearer to mum I would say.

Hope things are going okay for you, thinking of you.;)XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

Mr Big Man has said on Monday that will not operate end of. Anyway she has had all test over last two days e.g. ecogram, mri, ct etc etc. No alternative but to operate cause she will die soon. He not happy but doing triple heart plus aortic valve replacement. This is a major operation for an 81 year old lady. She wants it to happen cause she got no quality of life at moment. Really scared about tomorrow. Operating at 8am (hope he not been drinking or had arguement with wife LOL). Going up to be with her when dropped kids off at school college etc. Staying over night at nearby hotel so we can be near. Prayers and fingers crossed.
